• Perfect Location

  Our home away from home was almost perfect. It’s in a convenient location to the downtown district. The decor was so inviting and the furniture was comfortable. It had everything we needed to get us through our adventures in Door County for the week.

• Holiday anniversary stay

  We came in from Milwaukee not having the kid this year for Christmas and our anniversary it was a cozy spot for the two of us. Knowing it was our anniversary from the listing they gave us a local bottle of wine to share wich was very nice! Getting out of the city with a little spot in town was just what we needed. Little kitchenette was so cute and functional as we where not keen on cooking anything spectacular for the holidays. The bathroom with the clawfoot tub was very nice and they definitely kept the historical look of the home with a few rustic updates. We would love to book again in the summertime.

• Noise and Security Issues

  Decent space for the price and a good location for exploring Door County. But there was constant noise from the upstairs neighbor. This unit is on the first-floor corner of a multi-unit building, and noise travels through the aging structure. The main unit door is only locked with a keypad lock; there is no way to secure the door from the inside with a deadbolt lock. The chain door guard was also missing. The secondary door off the bedroom was unlocked when we arrived. Overall, the unit did not feel quiet or secure as a first-floor unit.

  -It is a multi-unit building and although we work hard to provide a great environment for guests, external factors like the neighbors are simply out of our control. We have never experienced issues like this either before your stay or since and have provided a white noise machine for light sleepers
  -The safety of all of our guests is at the forefront of our mission and we'd like to clarify the front door does have a keypad lock that is also a deadbolt. The location is in a great area and we apologize for the impact this had on your stay

  For the most part our stay was good. Not the cleanest. The blankets on the couch were not clean had lots of hair on them. Place was cold and took a while to warm up. Bedroom was extremely cold. Shower was not great no place to put shampoo or soap.

  Hi there, thanks for your review. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
  - We're sorry if the temperature wasn’t up to where you liked it when you arrived. We have a mini split heating and cooling system that guests can control to their comfort, and it shouldn’t take long to adjust the temperature in the unit. Additionally, there is an electric heating fireplace in the bedroom where guests can set the temperature.
  - We use a professional cleaning company that does a thorough job of preparing the home, however, we do accept well-behaved pets and are sorry if you found some dog hair.
  - We did just find a suitable shampoo holder for the claw foot tub!
