  This house was perfect for our warm skiing weekend. The home had everything we needed during our stay. We especially enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and proximity to the hiking trails and ski slopes.

• Great stay at Wintergreen!

  We enjoyed our weekend at Wintergreen and this house was perfect for our family of 5. The house was as expected. It is a bit older house that could use a little TLC (electrical outlet plate was loose in downstairs bathroom, could use a few more steak knives, a couple more hardback chairs for dining area) but great for the price and location. Would definitely stay there again!

• Disappointed by Home Condition

  Property Mgmt Company was kind enough to let us check in early, but disappointment started at the front door. Within minutes my son giggled and showed me how the bottom of his white socks were nearly black - from running around the main floor. We don't wear shoes inside. Rented house due to location, grill, and fireplace. Grill is unusable due to layers of old food left on grill. Fireplace wood holder and wood bag were empty, with a note "more" wood available outside - sadly in a pile of soaked wood that was still damp days later.Pots and pans in kitchen were in cupboards dirty with pasta sauce and eggs dried on them. We watched a movie the first night with close captions on, and discovered the next day the lack of audio was because the speakers were disconnected. Multiple light bulbs throughout house were dead. Upstairs bathtub next to kid bedroom can only be used as shower, due to faucet being stuck.Disappointed grill wasn't usable as described. Fireplace required store-purchased wood. The house was very cold upon arrival and looked and felt dirty. With better maintenance, this could be a good property, but very disappointing as-is.

• Great home for skiing at Wintegreen

  Great stay for a short trip to Wintergreen for my siblings and I. Check in/out was seamless, house was equipped with everything necessary, appliances all worked, etc.. Very close to the resort parking lot. Only hiccup was that the grill on the deck was dirty and had seen better days, but we worked around it. But overall, 5 out of 5 stars for sure.

• Could use a refresh

  There were several glitches in the check in process (had to wait for someone to come and replace the batteries in the lock which took about 45 minutes) but the management company did respond quickly. The property layout was very comfortable but the house is in need of a refresh - rather shabby overall.

  "We are sorry that our electronic key battery had issues. Unfortunately, we cannot predict this happening, but we will remember to remedy that in the future by changing the battery on a biannual basis to ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded. We are sorry that you did not enjoy the décor. We have high-quality leather couches, all of the floors are brand new within two years, and the house was painted externally and internally within the past two years. We provide high-end towels, sheets, and a full cooking kitchen. and all of the furniture is solid wood. We actually enjoy our home very much, but we're sorry you were unable to find the value in our home and did not meet your full expectations. Although you did not enjoy your stay, we're confident future guests will have a wonderful visit to our mountaintop home!"
