  Rat poop in the bedroom! Rat traps under the sink. Rat bait on vents. Are you kidding me? Strong moth ball odor! Disgusting shower. Showers that go warm to cold randomly without any other water use in the house. Overgrown tiny yard area that appears to have years worth of leaves and stickery weeds. Sofa that looks and feels like it was just picked up off the street last week. Definitely overpriced and not worth all the extra VRBO “miscellaneous” fees.

  - We do have a rat trap under the kitchen sink as a preventive measure. There is no rat bait on any vent.
  - We have carpet stains under the back bedroom bed. The stains may look like rat feces, but they are not. We apologize that this impacted your stay.
  - There are moth balls in the attic. They do not smell unless the ceiling door to the attic is opened.
  - The shower controls work correctly, and we encourage our guests to reach out to us if they have any questions about their operation.
  - The sofa has a cover on it, and it was cleaned two weeks ago.

• Unsanitary

  The home had an odor of mildew and second rat poison. A faulty dishwasher with instructions left saying "it's tricky this is how you get it to work". Beds with bedframes made out of 2x4s. Stand in shower with some sort of big drain hole in the center covered with a mat they had been there who knows how long.A piece of plastic with holes for a shower curtain. We had to wear water shoes to take a QUICK shower. The living room "entertainment center" was a nightstand with a board across the top to hold the tv/monitor. The DVD player didn't work. The linen on the beds appeared to be dirty, we used our own. I was looking for trash bags and found Xtra large rat traps instead. At night you could hear the extra large rats. We paid for 2 nights. We stayed just 1 and that's because we drove 5 hours, kids were tired, and couldn't find a reasonable hotel last minute so late. We left home a day early the next day, due to these unsanitary conditions.

  Hi Osvaldo, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -We would like to clarify that there are no rats in the home. The sounds heard at night were squirrels. We are aware of this. We are working with our pest control company to ensure this is not an issue for future guests.
  -The dishwasher can malfunction if the cycle is interrupted. As a result, this can cause an odor if water is left inside. We can assure you the dishwasher is brand new
  -The bed frames have been replaced with wooden frames as wooden frames work better and last longer
  -We use a standard shower curtain for the bathroom. The hall shower drain is located in the middle of the shower floor. The floor mats are in place to keep guests from slipping
  -The TV is located in the same location as shown in the Listing Photos. The DVD player is in working condition
  -The linens are washed between each guest

  Property owners where always on hand very very polite and always responded house was great me and my 8 children and husband we hand a wonderful time on our vacation!!!! The property and property owner made our stay even better!!!! River walk very very close to home which made it even

• A Location not too repeat

  From outside to inside, this house was consistently a disappointment. Outside, most of the yard is concreted. What “lawn” remains is under a thick layer of leaves and used by the area cats as a litterbox. Was uncomfortable stepping into yard or letting dog in it House is settling and we chose to use the back door as entry. Carport roof metal sheets banged all night from wind.Inside, cutlery was unwashed and needed cleaning prior to use. Unfortunately, dishwasher had sign indicating missing parts. Washed all dishes, pans, cutlery before using them. Stove vent blew out dust and bugs when turned on.Living room sofa springs completely worn out. Floor uneven from settling. TV is half the size of one in picture.The beds in middle bedroom are set on make-shift 2x4 bases; in one case with only a mattress.House (particularly bathrooms) was very cold and needed the provided space heaters to cut the chill (some). Window A/C indicates that house HVAC can’t keep up with heat in summer.Due to the lawn (see above), the house has mice (found mousetraps behind beds). The freeze brought in bugs. Family had bugbites on backs.If this is what VRBO offers, then not interested in being a repeat customer.For the costs, would have done better at a Motel 6

  - It's normal for the lawn to have some loose leaves on it.
  - House is settling, and we are in the process of resolving this issue.
  - Metal in the wind can bang; this is normal.
  - We apologize for the dishes. A previous guest might have placed unwashed dishes in the drawer.
  - We were awaiting parts for the dishwasher, but the parts have since arrived, and the dishwasher is now working correctly.
  - We strive to portray our home accurately in the photos, and we're sorry the TV did not suit your preferences.
  - Although the couch is not brand-new, we strive to maintain it in good condition.
  - We made 2x4 bases for the beds because a previous guest broke the original ones.
  - Both bathrooms have heater registers. The heat is distributed evenly throughout the home.
  - A guest asked for a window A/C last summer, which is compatible with the house's size.
  - Rodents in cold weather often come inside homes. Thus, we are being proactive by setting out traps.
