Family vacation Easter 2022
5/5 Our Port Aransas vacation was a success!!! Thanks to the lovely house that meet all needs we enjoyed barbecuing in the backyard while the kids played in the water sprinkler!!!! Everything was very convenient thank you!!!

Overall Great Property
4/5 The only downfall of the property, and really it's not major, is that the back yard was pretty unkempt. It would have been nice to use the shower out back to rinse beach sand off but we couldn't go through the gate to the backyard without having to push through really tall weeds. Again, not a big deal already, just something they could do to improve looks and convience. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to come again!

Unable to access property, additional expenses, cockroaches, NOT RECOMMENDED
1/5 Check in procedure included a code to access door. There was no code, only standard locked doors. We attempted to contact the property manager and never got ahold of her (at check in or during the entire stay). We got ahold of Evolve and they were unable to reach anyone to let us into the property. I followed up the next day and the door was left unlocked for us. No explanation although the owner did text the following day and apologized and confirmed that we now had access to the property. We had to stay in a hotel room the first night with two toddlers. Only one night stay (of the home) was reimbursed (did not cover the hotel fee, eating out unexpectedly for breakfast or discarded frozen food).The outside of the home was unkept and clearly the home was not made ready for us. There were clothes shoved under a bed, the floors were dirty (we vacuumed upon arrival) and the last two days we found three dead cockroaches in the hall (we did not search for more!).Evolve declined the request to compensate us for the additional expenses totaling $150. We should have rejected the stay, and I've since learned we should have contacted VRBO directly at the time as they would have helped us book a new place in the area. Unfortunately we chose to stay the remaining nights and are now out additional money.The home has potential but it was clearly not prepared for our stay and I would not recommend it to anyone unless significant changes to management are made.
