  We ended up staying at a hotel. The only a/c that worked was the little window unit in the back bedroom, which will not adequately cool the entire house. We saw the other review from about a year ago and gave the owner the benefit of the doubt the a/c issues had been fixed. The wall a/c units in the living room and front bedroom were not cool at all. Review the picture of the back door closely. The door does not fit into the door frame correctly. There are gaps around the door since it will not close completely.

  Hi Deborah, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We have high standards of hospitality for our property and strive to make vacation rental easy for our guests.
  
  - We are glad to have an opportunity to respond to your review. Based on your complaint, we had the air conditioning units examined by a licensed company, Military Air, after you left. They found that you were not using the remotes for the two AC units in the bedroom and living room correctly as you had one room set on heat and the other on cool. The guests who checked out the same morning as your check-in reported no issues with the AC. As a back up to the wall units, we have now installed two new window air conditioners as well - one in each room.
  
  - Additionally, your stay was only less than half an hour after check-in, demanding a refund. We encourage guests to reach out with any concerns while in residence so we have the opportunity to make things right - we would have been happy to immediately address your concerns. We were not given the opportunity to resolve the issue right away as you chose to leave. As a courtesy, we still refunded your full amount for the stay despite there being nothing wrong with the AC units. To ensure transparency, we have now modified our pre-stay instructions to remind guests to confirm that both AC units are in the same setting to either heat or cool.
  
  - As for the door you mentioned, we had it checked and confirmed that it is in working order and perfectly secure.

  Everything went great. The description of the house was accurate. My little girls enjoyed the stay and closeness to the beach. Beds and pillows were comfy. Linens and towels provided as well the rest of the usual things. Check in process was awesome as well as check out. Wifi and cable channel worked great. In general a great experience. Will definitely recommend.

• Overall good experience

  The place was a little quirky. It's a nice old home full of character. One of the bedrooms leads to the only bathroom and the bedroom doesn't have a door. The air conditioning struggled to keep up with the heat so it ran at full blast all day. Overall great experience and enjoyed our stay. Safe neighborhood, close to the beach, and honestly everything.
