For us, the location was perfect. Right at a stop light where you can easily cross to get on the beach, and right in between Kroger and Walmart where you can buy everything you need for your stay.As for the condo itself, it mostly looked like the photos, but the condition of the items were the issue. Seat cushions on the dining table were not screwed on so we fell multiple times. The children's twin bed was so concave that the middle just about touched the floor. The futon needed a whole lot more cushion to be sleep able. And, the patio furniture looked liked it was from the dumpster -covered in rust and dirt, so we didn't use them. As for the host, there were a few items not included that were listed on the posting, and when I reached out, I was advised that maybe the items were stolen. That's not my problem. I was also advised that the dining chairs would be fixed when. He had his next day off. That's also not my problem. These details should have been addressed before my stay. Lastly, there's no way the amount charged for cleaning is actually used for cleaning. Very basic cleaning was done prior to our arrival. I'm talking the cleaning I do on a day to day basis, not the cleaning it takes to prepare for guests. When I put my finger across the side of the shower, it was covered in dirt. Considering that the host requires the guests to leave the condo as it was when you arrived-dishes away, trash emptied, and house tidied, I really expected that the cleaners job would be to take care of all the dirt. So, final verdict is that we won't stay in this particular condo again, but more than likely will stay at this complex again.

I have been renting from VRBO exclusively for years and I can say this was the dirtiest property I have had the misfortune of paying money to use. Only reason we stayed here was because we decided on a last-minute trip for the long weekend and the only other rental with our criteria had several mentions of roaches. I can see why this rental and that rental were the last ones available. The floor was so dirty, our feet were black after an hour. I wish I could post pictures to show the damp paper towel I used to wipe around the kitchen area, a perfect black handprint. The sheets were stained, there was gross yellow crusty stuff on the bedroom comforter, hair stuck to the door in the bathroom, the toilet looked like it had gotten a wipe down and called clean and just to top it off - a complete big toenail clipping on the balcony right in front of one of the PVC pipe made chairs. The "gates" in front of each door slammed so loudly you could hear all your neighbors coming in & out at all hours. And for listing this as sleeping 5 people, I don't know how that's possible. Two people in the super squeaky queen bed, one person in the U-shaped twin bed that sits on garden bricks with no center support (I WISH I could upload pictures) and one person, maybe, on the hardest futon not classified as a sidewalk for a total of four, MAX. Sitting on the futon was uncomfortable enough without it triggering a sneezing fit from whatever allergen was on it. The property is completely outdated as you can quickly tell by the Golden Girls era furniture and décor in the lobby. We arrived after hours and were told at the door to check in with security and come back in the morning. The building has nothing to do with the rentals. They are there to collect to the $30 parking/amenity fee only. And by amenities, they mean a milky overly chlorinated smelling (and you know what means) crowded pool in which hardly anyone had the required paper bracelets on, laundry room that's seen better decades and gate codes. The pedestrian gates were unlocked all 4 times we tried them, and the main gate stays open long enough to let multiple cars in with one code entry. The final straw was when we realized the balcony door latch did not work. The door does not lock. I called the first contact to complain about this safety issue & got no answer. 2 stars only because of location; across from the beach & Walmart is across the other street and the female security guard was super nice.

- We have very high standards for our property and strive to provide our guests with a 5-star experience, we were extremely disappointed to hear about the issues you encountered. We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival and wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home. We have since addressed this with our cleaning services to ensure future travelers do not share the same experience. They have since given the home a deep clean, including steam mopping the floors, and new sheets, blankets, and towels were replaced. We're truly sorry this happened during your stay.
- We use professional photographers so we can be sure that our images accurately reflect our property and guests can decide before booking if the decor meets their expectations.
- While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress and sleeping arrangements didn't meet your preferences. We will have our maintenance crew check on the "squeaky queen bed" to ensure nothing is loose and repair it if needed.
- We have since checked on the patio door and the door locks when closed firmly.
- The resort is well maintained and like most resorts in Galveston was built in the mid-1980s and is right across from beach access. The resort has 24 hr security, swimming pools, a hot tub, a fitness center, and tennis courts.
- While we cannot control external factors like neighbors' noise coming and going, we’re sorry this impacted your stay.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
I loved the condo and the location but it was not cleaned very well. Hair every where and dirty bathroom floor.
