• Week At The Beach

  Overall, excellent! Love the floor plan! The walk was short to the beach and easy for the dogs to be walked and put back during the heat of the day, etc. Disappointed there was no grill to go with the deck and amazing views, but not a deal breaker. Maybe more information in an email or in your information book regarding beach etiquette for those that don't frequent the beach and closing times of local restaurants.

  We arrived Mother's Day, spent our 24th Anniversary then GoTopless weekend! We had a blast!

• Beautiful Beach House with Amazing Views

  My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Spicy Crab and it was perfect! The house was very well maintained and clean! The AC in the house worked amazing. I loved that the house had washer and dryer available to use, it came in handy. Being able to walk to the beach was the highlight of the trip. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the deck watching the waves roll in. We used the guest guide book left by the owners for restaurant ideas and was pleased with every one we were able to try! Definitely coming back!

• Stay that you wanna forget

  1. Maintenance don't pick up the calls on the first few tries.

  2. Responses to your voicemails come 12 hours after.

  3. The one time they did pick up the call, they said that don't provide maintenance for this address. I know she was lying since it was the same lady who responded to my voicemail the next day.

  4. The property was not clean. Stating that "The property is pet-friendly" is not a good answer for finding pet hairs all over the property.

  5. The property was not swept or mopped as we could find dust/pet hair all over the furnitures/floor.

  6. There were nails popping out of the floor boards which were dangerous and could've seriously injured someone if one of our friends had not noticed them.

  7. I understand that the property is next to a beach but that doesn't mean I get a washer and dryer with boot load of sand in them.

  8. There was no trash bags in the property. Our multiple requests to provide one were left ignored.

  9. The decorative plank in the dining corner can hurt a kid. It has too many open splinters. I would either change the plank or move it somewhere where it's not accessible to a toddler.

  Our success ratio to contacting the maintenance crew was about 5%. In that little attention we got, they didn't care about the nails, trash bags or the dirty property. Our requests were either ignored or told that they will attend to it after we leave.

• The perfect getaway!

  We loved our stay at The Spicy Crab! This house was perfect for our family of 6 and small dog. The SHORT (1 minute!) walk to the beach meant we could go and stay all day or walk down and back a couple times just as easily. Our girls loved the bunk room and having their own bathroom. They used the 2nd queen room to play games and hangout too! We (the parents) appreciated being on the "other side" of the house and used the door from our room to sneak out and enjoy our coffee every morning. The house was well stocked with amenities; so many beach towels (even though we brought our own), basic supplies (hand soap/towels, TP, paper towels), and the kitchen had everything we needed too! The beverage fridge was a nice thing we didn't know we'd appreciate so much. Nice big kitchen table let us do puzzles and play games when it was raining. Lots of hooks in the bathrooms to keep wet towels/suits off the floors.

  The keyless entry was so convenient - quick to lock/unlock and we didn't have to worry about remembering an actual key. Very cozy house! Surfside Food Mart a mile or two down the road was perfect for picking up a few grocery items we forgot. We had everything we needed for a quick/local-ish beach gateway.

  We highly recommend The Spicy Crab!
