  To start the listing has false information in it. The toiletries only include shampoo/conditioner and soap. There's many more items that should be stocked to use that general term. Also there were no beach chairs nor any beach items as mentioned in the listing. The unit reaked of pot and is very old and outdated, leaking AC in bathroom, and questionable electrical outlets. The memory foam mattress was so hard my body hurt from sleeping on it. The linens on the bed were dirty and the ceiling fan had months of dust and build-up on the blades. There was food, dirty dishes and trash under the main bed in the bedroom. The lock on the sliding glass door was broken. The dishes in the cabinets had water in them either from cleaning crew or last guests. Either way I was extremely disappointed knowing I paid almost $500 for 3 nights and $100 of it for cleaning the unit is ridiculous if this is the quality that they deem acceptable.

  I reached out to the owner she did get 1 cheap folding camping chair set aside at the main office but we still had to pay out more money to get both of us chairs and an umbrella at the beach. The towels were the cheapest one could buy, luckily there was enough but only 1 set of beach towels and no way to wash them.

  The only pros were internet/cable and proximity to the beach with a private entry, and can't even even say "free parking" because you have to pay $15 to get access to gate cards to even get inside the facility. So that's false info as well.

  I asked the owner for some sort of reimbursement for the lack of cleanliness and for having to pay out of pocket for items that were supposed to be provided when renting the unit, she failed to reply to that request!

  Definitely would not stay here again nor recommend anyone I know use evolve for rentals.

  Hi Carin, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -Thank you for your review. I did not receive any communication from your group during your stay. However, we would have been happy to make things right and come up with an agreeable solution
  -The building is older, but our unit is newly renovated. This house has been updated including new towels and mattresses without changing the character of the original outside
  -The unit amenities have been updated to reflect no beach chairs. We apologize for the inconvenience so we can ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers
  -We are looking carefully into the door locks on the sliding doors and will install new ones or fix them to accommodate our future guests
  -While we try to accommodate all guests with a starter amount of toiletries, soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies
  -The listing description states access to this gated community requires a one-time $15 entry fee that is paid on-site upon arrival. Unfortunately, we have no control over the parking pass required by HOA
  -We strive to be transparent with our guests at every stage of the booking process and do break down all rates and fees before the reservation is confirmed
  -We have a professional cleaning crew to have the home cleaned before each guest's arrival. We apologize for the water on the dishes and dust on the ceiling fan blades - will pass this along to our cleaning crew to ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers
  -We are taking active measures to address the maintenance issue with the air conditioner to ensure our high standards are being met and exceeded
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
