Clean, Comfortable and Yet Quirky

The house was clean, spacious and quite charming with its hardwood floors, tall ceilings and crown molding. It had all the necessary conveniences. The house was quirky though from some cabinets oddly starting around 7 feet off the ground, to the 1/4 size bathroom on the first floor, that most adults could not use without twisting and turning, to the odd railings on the second floor that couldn't be more than probably 2 feet tall! We had a good laugh at most of these. The biggest detractor was the pool and hot tub. The hot tub required contacting the property manager just to learn how to find the secret room to go turn several valves and fire up the spa heater... if you turned on the pool lights, the electrical breaker would pop after a few minutes, so we learned not to use that and most disappointing, the hot tub jets turned off 20 or so minutes into the use. If you want to use the place just to stay and relax and skip the pool/hot tub, then this could be a nice place to relax.

Hi Mike, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-Our home is almost 100 years old and still has many of its original charming features including custom cabinetry in the bathrooms, as well as the hallway railings. The home is well maintained and has been remodeled with an open floor plan from the Kitchen into the Dining Room. It is updated very nicely with all the modern conveniences.
-The home has two full bathrooms upstairs where the bedrooms are located. These bathrooms are standard size, updated, and fully functional. The downstairs one is a half bathroom that's original to the home.
-The pool equipment is conveniently located in a secure shed off the patio to hide the equipment. This is to shield from the noise, protect the pool equipment from the weather, and for aesthetic reasons.
-We recently had severe weather and this may have affected the plug and light that is connected to the GFCI Circuit, which has been reset so that it doesn't cause an issue for our next guests.
-We politely respond and answer any questions as well as provide any additional information and instructions for the hot tub with pictures and written details for operation, as promptly as possible.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

The house was absolutely perfect! The owners were very helpful answering questions and making sure to provide the best stay. House was an older built house but very up to date. Clean, extremely roomy, convenient area, and safe stay. This house has an AC/heater that worked extremely fast. A pool and hot tub that was heated if wanted. This was a friends trip that gave a ton of opportunities for fun whether it is sitting on the deck relaxing, handing out in the large dinning area or the big living room. Bathrooms both up and downstairs. Could easily fit more t hen 12 people. Very comfortable home away from home. Every thing in house worked except the jet bathroom tub which wasn't offered on the house description, so no complaint there. I would absolutely wanna stay here again.

What a nice house. Updated but kept its older house charm. Great size for 3 couples. Pool and hot tub were perfect! Communication was easy and generally fast. Would certainly stay here again!

Very Nice for an Older Colonial Home

All beds are very comfortable. Kitchen and dinning area was good for our gathering. Restrooms are very small but expected for an older home. The small size didn't bother us. Decor was nice. Overall a pleasant stay for the price. Too cold to use the pool or hot tub. But it was nice to sit around. Only issue I would have had if there were small children in our group was the upstairs banister highth. It is too short in my opinion.
