• Nice Home, but NOT Luxury

  While home is nice and in a centrally located area of Austin, the word luxury is an inaccurate representation. The house is nicely decorated and host is very responsive, however the location borders a rough area and home doesn't easily accommodate a large group. We had a group of 10 of friends and family and didn't have enough towels, silverware, or bowls. Grill is only shown in pictures and is inoperable. Pool doesn't have heater. Treadmill doesn't go higher than 5 MPH. While we did receive an early check in, we spent the time cleaning up the pool from debris. Sliding glass doors said do not open. Kegerator said do not use. Keyless entry often times was faulty. House is a personal home being rented, not a vacation property. Home have a pet smell, treats on the counter, and feces in the backyard. Overall, home was fine and we made the best of it for our trip, but I would caution using the word "luxury" as a descriptor.

  Owner's response: "Richole, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip.
  - We're happy that you mention that the home is nice and centrally located in Austin. This is a good and safe location. Quail Creek is a North Central Austin location that is extremely popular with all age groups.
  - We are not sure what you consider luxury, but we offer our guests a home full of top-of-the-line amenities, linens, and kitchen items, and yes, we do feel that everything that is offered is luxurious. There are two kitchens with the second kitchen having extras of all items mentioned we noticed it was not used during your stay. We do assure plenty of all items for 11 guests.
  - This home is a personal vacation home. This is mentioned because we are not a large company that owns many Airbnbs and doesn't care about their home. This is meant to be seen as a positive, your host works very hard on the home and wants to personally make sure you have the best experience
  We understand you had to clean up some debris in the pool we're sorry for the inconvenience. You arrived the day after Christmas (which is observed as a holiday), and the day after a Winter storm. Outdoor cleaning crews came out as soon as they opened after the holiday. This is a home and is always continued maintenance outdoors, especially during Winter storms
  - The grill and kegerator are not advertised. We are always adding new amenities and these will eventually be added for use when ready. At this time it was never stated they could be used
  - Our home sleeps 11 people and we make sure that there are linens and towels for all, there are extras throughout the house. We could have had the housekeepers bring fresh towels if you were using them quickly as the host had texted you she was happy to do but never received a response.
  - The treadmill is a walking treadmill, you are correct it does not go above 5MPH. This is for the safety of our guests.
  - You mentioned the sign "sliding glass doors said do not open" One sliding glass door needed to be adjusted and has been done
  - The pool has never been listed as a heated pool, we're sorry for the inconvenience. Heated pools in Texas get too hot and are not needed like in other areas. We do not advise swimming in Winter.
  - Dogs are allowed on the property; we love our pups, so we offer treats. No dog smell was found by the cleaning team before or after
  - Possibly was a dripping faucet due to the freeze that had just happened in the storm.
  - Keyless Entry can get jammed if guests do not close properly continually. We have changed this lock due to that after your stay. We also had several other options to easily access the property, one being an app on your phone
  
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!"

• wonderful host and beautiful house

  Gorgeous house, good location. Such an accommodating host who went above and beyond. So many guest amenities including snack, drinks, products in all showers that were wonderful to have on hand. The house was gorgeous as well as very clean. Pool was wonderful addition to have. The massage chair was over the top AMAZING, so amazing it is on everyone's Christmas list. The host was extremely flexible, let us in early told us we could stay later if needed. Very easy access for entry with the MyQ app. Could not say enough good things about the gorgeous house as well as the amazing host.
