  • A little out of town which would be nice except for problems occurring

    I'll list the pro's and con's first and then the full review:

    Pro's: Great location, Well maintained hot tub, Quiet, Spacious and Cleanliness (this comes with some exceptions)

    Con's: Like everyone said before, the internet is very spotty, cleanliness in key areas (Fridge, bathrooms tub/showers, laundry room), finally the major issue management for problems.

    The main issue that we had was that the refrigerator was broken. We contacted the listed contact for problems and mentioned the refrigerator wasn't working when we arrived. There were condiments left in the door and the cleanliness was not present, we were told the fridge was cooling due to cleaning...no. Now we bought food to help with the cost of vacation and lost all of it due to the refrigerator not working. This made it where we couldn't do some key things that we wanted because of the increased food costs that came with not having the ability to cook what we bought. The other main issue is we lost out on doing some stuff due to the increase in money needing to be spent on eating out instead of on fun family activities. Finally, instead of waiting for us to leave to deal with the broken fridge the owner and management company made us return with a 20-minute notice to the property to let them in and service the fridge. Everything was already lost and again it took time out of doing something instead we had to drive back and wait around then leave again. This too cost gas money and time. We got a late-night text from the managing contact that we now have to go through the management company (evolve) to get a refund for the food we lost, and we might be blocked in with a new fridge arriving during the morning, the time could have been adjusted to after 10am check out instead of during. But a apology for your wasted time and loss of family fun... that doesn't matter, just better luck next time. Also, I have not received a refund yet and it has been over 10 business days. Do not rent from this property the owners and the management is only out of the the money and don't care.

    Hi Zachary, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We do our very best to uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and provide all of our guests with an exceptional experience. Thank you for sharing your positive insight on the location and the hot tub!
    - As we value the cleanliness of our cabin, we can confirm that it received professional cleaning before your check-in, and the refrigerator was left empty for your convenience. Once we received notification of an issue with the fridge, we immediately arranged for a technician to inspect it. We made extensive attempts to contact you through phone and text with much advance notice and also had Evolve make their efforts to reach out as well. After several hours in an attempt to get in touch with you, we finally made contact just as the technician was standing by the cabin. Unfortunately, the technician couldn't enter the cabin due to the presence of dogs that were not in kennels.
    - While we want our guests to enjoy their stay here, we also need them to respect our house rules. We were disappointed to learn that there were dogs on our property without the associated pet fee being paid. We were unable to issue a refund due to the absence of a receipt as proof of food purchase, and the pet fee had not been paid, which goes against our house rules.
    - In recognizing the concern with the fridge, we discovered that it needed to be replaced and we immediately ordered a new one. Like most deliveries, it came with a scheduled day and a delivery time frame, which in this instance was set between 9 to 12 days of your checkout. To be on the safe side, we informed you about the potential delivery during that time frame in case you were still at the cabin. It's important to note that we never expected any parking issues, as the parking lot has lots of room.
    We do all we can to make our home the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

    The cabin had not been cleaned, we spent our first hour cleaning. The main bathroom still had the previous tenants toothpaste in the sink. The hottub had no steps to get in it, I almost fell, there was also sand in the hottub. Two of the 3 beds need replacing. Pigeon Forge is great, but this cabin needs some improvements, and a deep cleaning.

    -We strive to provide an excellent guest experience at our cabin every time. We take these claims seriously as we have high standards of cleanliness for our home. With cleanliness concerns, we ask that guests reach out so we can prove its validity and resolve any issue immediately. We are always available should guests need anything while in residence. We gladly would have sent the cleaning crew back to address any concerns right away.
    -We can assure you that the cabin was in great condition prior to your arrival. Our cleaning service always does an excellent job and provides us with time-stamped photos of their work completed after each cleaning.
    -The hot tub is professionally serviced and drained after every stay. The hot tub is low standing, so there has never been a request for a step. The 'sand' like substance is the bromine booster the cleaners add when they refill the tub. It dissolves rather quickly. Otherwise, our cleaners are also just a phone call away and are always willing to stop by if issues arise. We would prefer to resolve any issues right away and find a solution while the guest is there, and not after the fact.
    -We're sincerely sorry you didn't find the beds comfortable. We chose these mattresses to appeal to the large majority of guests. We know that mattress preference is unique to each guest and that these specific mattresses did not suit your personal preference. This is the first time we had heard of such an issue, but we are sorry that this impacted your stay.
    Our commitment to all our guests is to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews.

  • Great time

    It was a great time staying there only issue that we had was whoever stayed there before us. A bear got into their trash, and it was scattered all around the trashcan area so the next night the bear came in, and it actually jumped up on one of the vehicles.

  • Mountain Vacation

    We enjoyed our mountain vacation. 3 families from north and south met to spend the week together at the cabin.Internet connection was often not strong enough to stream tv. We enjoyed a lot of “unplugged” time together. We had a black bear visitor our last full day there. The bear stayed by the garbage cans and in the grassy yard area. We were able to safely observe from the top deck. This was a nice end to our trip!
