Although overall clean, the cottage really needed some updating and deep cleaning. Maybe some of it was early Spring arrival but deck was not ready for guests and windows were very dirty.
Location is peaceful but not very convenient to much. Plan an hour drive to get to anything.
Furniture has all been downgraded from the photos online. It's not so "charming" as the pictures make it look.
Hi Barbara, the homeowner, and their team work hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and they'd like to clarify the following:
-We make cleanliness a top priority, and since your stay, the home is professionally deep cleaned depending on occupancy and sanitized before each guest's arrival. Further, we value the cleanliness of the home and we are sincerely sorry for any evidence of cleanliness issues you found since this is not consistent with our cleaning expectations. The windows have been washed and the cottage is well-kept.
-We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home before booking, but we also encourage guests to research the area before booking to ensure it is the right fit for their needs.
-It looks like it rained prior to your stay. We always strive to keep the deck in shape and chairs organized, but this is sometimes out of our control when there are inclement weather conditions. The deck gets wet and because of tree cover it takes a while for it to dry. However, we're sorry that the weather impacted your experience.
-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the furniture didn't meet your preference. The furniture has been partially replaced, unfortunately, due to the wear and tear from previous guests, the furniture needs another replacement. Based on your feedback, once we update the furniture we will contact Evolve to take current photos and reflect the property accurately.
Thank you for sharing about your stay. We do all we can to create the best experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!
We stayed for two nights, wanting to visit Pigeon Forge for a bit. Depending on how you look at things, for us, the drive wasn’t bad, 30 minute drive to get somewhere is nothing for us. The road getting to the cabin/house is very curvy so drive slow. You are going into the mountains. The place has its charm but the walls are on the thinner side which didn’t bother us. The only problem we’ve encountered was, the water pressure on the second day seemed completely non-existent. Anywhere in the house. I’m really hoping they can figure out what the problem is before someone else stays there. I tried messaging them but haven’t received a reply.Luckily we we’re leaving the next morning so it didn’t bother us much but it did put a damper on the trip.

We loved staying here. We didn’t realize quite how far it would be from town, but that really didn’t matter to us. If you don’t mind that, this is just a perfect spot with lots of windows and was nice and clean. It’s tucked in the trees, and it was so cozy when it rained. The wraparound porch was nice and our little dog had plenty of room to roam around.
