A couple of things need improvement, mattress, lighting, through out house is too dark needs brighter light bulbs, no out side light on entrance porch near front door. Road going to cabin pretty rough shape.

Hi William, thanks for letting us know about your stay. After going over your feedback, the homeowner wanted to address the items that you mentioned:
-Thank you for your feedback.
-The porch light was on the wrong setting; it should be motion-activated, but someone switched it to the "off" position. We've fixed this.
-We appreciate the recommendation for lighting and will see if there are other lightbulbs we can provide.
-As for the road, we are currently in the process of getting bids from different companies and hoping to pave it.
Thanks again for taking the time to write your review!
It was an amazing experience to travel up the mountain each day to a nice cabin and watch some awesome sunsets.

We liked the cabin overall. I’ve stayed at much worse places. Everything was moderately clean. The microwave had macaroni stuck to the inside. The porch could have been cleaned up more (dirty glass table, once fresh fresh flowers are now dead, porch could have been swept to clean leaves and branches). The road to get to the cabin was kind of scary if you have only a two wheel drive vehicle. Would highly recommend a four wheel drive/ bigger vehicle when driving to this cabin!
Very disappointed that the listing did not note how bad the roads are coming up to the cabin. We were in a front wheel drive Toyota Camry, and had a lot of trouble getting to the cabin everyday. We had to plan all of our activities around the rain so that we would not have to drive the terrible roads in the rain- we would not be able to make it back to the cabin if the roads were wet.
The lock to the front door is sometimes impossible to get to unlock. One night we were trying to get in and took about 10 minutes. We tried to call the host to see if there was any special trick to unlocking the door. They never answered and their mailbox was full, and they never called us back. Eventually we were able to get in after the 25th try.
This is a great property for those who like staying away from the hustle and bustle. It's ca. 20 minutes away from most attractions, and the mountain drive is not for the faint of heart...but you get used to all of that! The property is beautiful and secluded; the view from the front porch is a work of art. There is no Walgreens around the corner in case you forgot something. Fear not! The accommodations are comprehensive. You will love your stay at Greystone!
