• Perfect Location, Perfect Cabin

  We love this cabin! It fits our needs perfectly! We enjoy sitting on the deck surrounded by the great Smoky Mountains! It is also perfectly located! We highly recommend this cabin!

• Nice Cabin - but, needs improvements

  Pros: The Cabin itself is really nice! Great views, loved the huge bar/table in the Kitchen, 4 King sized VERY comfortable beds and hot tub! The game room and pool table was awesome for the kids!Cons: The driveway is SO steep - there is nothing keeping you from going over the ledge. Also, trying to get out of it to turn on to the road was very scary as you couldn't see if any traffic was coming. I would not chance this driveway in bad weather.The fact that they charge so much for a cleaning fee and the place was covered with dust literally everywhere - dirty windows, dried food/ketchup still on the counter - was gross. Unfortunately, a few people in our party have dust allergies so it was not a pleasant experience for them. The place was most likely more clean when we left, than when we got there.Shower pressure was crap. We did not get nearly enough towels for a family of 12 until I complained and they brought more a day before we left. There were little to no hangers and NO drawer space for clothes. The movie room was a great idea in theory but most of the DVDs were missing and the chairs need replaced as they're being held together with tape. This cabin NEEDS curtains and/or blinds. While I love the views, the evening sun blasted you through the living room and at night you had to go to the bathroom to change clothes.We had 2 chairs that needed repairs as they had nails sticking out. With children that was a concern for us but they came and fixed them not long after I alerted them. Also, the furniture in the living room was made for looks not comfort.

  Hi Ashley, thank you for your feedback. We relayed your concerns to the homeowner, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We appreciate your thoughtful feedback, and we're so glad you enjoyed the comfortable beds and game room.
  - Regarding the driveway, the property was purchased as such and is common for the area. We have twice added a large mirror at the end of the driveway (across the street), and it has twice been removed; once in the recent fires and once more recently without cause/knowing why. We would never suggest a driver attempt to access the driveway up or down in bad weather, not only for the sake of the driveway but that most roads in the Wears Valley area get shut down as well during these periods. We do salt the driveway for any guests who stay during periods of inclement weather.
  - The curtains/blinds are our aesthetic choice and preference. Each bedroom does have blackout curtains for privacy. The only area that does not have curtains is the main living area (living room and kitchen) as a means of not limiting views of the mountains, and the basement game room area, which has windows facing a backyard that has no properties nearby. At times guests have relayed the desire for a curtain at the front kitchen window; this is the only area that we might consider the addition.
  - We will be adding more hangers in the closets. There are also luggage racks available to each guest within the closets of all bedrooms, and the upstairs master has an additional large chest of drawers.
  - We decided to do a personal inventory of the DVDs. We were not aware some were missing, and appreciate you alerting us. We think this might not have come up due to having a smart TV, and likely most guests accessing their respective logins on the unique TV apps for the shows. Also, we have ordered new recliners so the old ones will be replaced soon.
  - We were disappointed when you let us know of your cleanliness concerns during your three-day stay. We worked promptly and diligently to ensure that the property management was notified of the issues. We do not set the price for the cleaning. This is a fee that is paid to a property management organization that helps to maintain the home and covers hundreds of homes in the area on the same pricing structure.
  We always strive to provide a 5-star experience for all our guests, and we are disappointed that this property was not a fit for you. We will continue to do all we can to make the best possible stay!

  The cabin is beautiful! Scenery as well. We enjoyed our stay! The great room area is tiny for 12. When we were all in at the same time, it was very crowded with little room to work in the kitchen. We would rent again(with a smaller crew) and recommend to friends!

• Book it, it's worth it!

  This cabin is gorgeous and the views are amazing. If you are debating, is it worth it....Yes it is! Wonderful family time, only went out to town 1 day out of a 4 day stay. We had 3 generations and there is something for everyone. It was clean, layed out beautifully, and had plenty of space for 8 adults (ages 19 to 76). We stay in the area at least once a year, and by far one of the better rentals we have stayed in. We will rebook this cabin in the future.

  I was a bit surprised by the drive way at first, it is pretty steep. Would recommend a mirror for the curve on the driveway, not a lot of room to move over. There is only one other property using driveway, so not much traffic. There is plenty of parking for both cabins, and they are not right on top of each other either.

  The few things I would "complain" about are:

  There are no blinds or shades on any window except the back bedroom on the main level of the cabin. This leaves little privacy, but you can see the stars from bed at night. Beautiful views.

  The flatware should be replaced, it has old wooden handles and just doesn't seem to go with the upscale decor of the cabin. Also, if you are looking for kitchen supplies, most of the kitchen utincels and pans are in the drawers and cabinets under the bar/dining table.

  So, that being said from someone who stays in the mountains frequently and likes neat,clean, and accurate descriptions of their rentals....Book It!
