• BEWARE description deceptive DO NOT STAY HERE

  Host was pleasant however when we told him we felt unsafe since the surrounding properties had bars on every possible entry way and this place had a RING doorbell for of security because according to the EVOLVE guidelines our safety was of utmost importance. The front door did not function but you could see daylight all around the door. The side entry door did require a code but one forceful kick would have opened it without a doubt. We were told to call VRBO if we were not going to stay. He could not help with a refund. VRBO stated we should call the host and then gave us a number for EVOLVE the private mng company. I did call them as well. Very pleasant but wants pictures to prove or corroborate the unsafeness of the area in order to advocate for a refund. We located a room at a hotel after much searching so we could stay for the weekend as planned. Multiple people we questioned about Jefferson st stated it was a rough area, stay away even in the daytime, laughed when we said we rented the place thru VRBO, even an UBER driver refused to drive thru the area after dark…. In the description ..parts of dowtown was walkable from there… maybe with a police escort…we looked up the police records fir that area .. 3 assaults and 2 robberies from 4/9/23 thru 4/15/23 . We still have NOT been told we will get a refund. Beware folks do your homework learn from us !!

  It was close to all the things we needed. Parking wasn’t easily identified. Side entrance is how we entered the property and wasn’t the best first impression. Small hall, small kitchen but the rest of the house was great! Love the old home feel, all appliances worked and tv. Would suggest electrical wires (extension cords) not be so accessible due to children. Otherwise, it met most needs for us.

• Cheap but you get what you pay for

  Very old house, desperate for updates in a commercial not great neighborhood. Our Uber driver laughed at us getting dropped off her from the neighborhood. The bathroom was old and not clean. I reached out to complain and was offered money back but nothing concrete. The did offer to send a cleaner but we had already cleaned. I was told the owner would be calling me directly, it never happened. We made the best of it.

• Nice stay

  It had everything we needed at a reasonable cost! Within walking distance to some places. We ubered back at night from downtown.
