Nice place needs work
3/5 We arrived and the property manager came to replace the front door lock, which was good, but he was not able to tell us how to start the gas fireplace. We were there for three nights during the cold snap with no fireplace. Could not get gas refilled. The living room recliner is broken, the tv remotes in the bedrooms would not change the channels. It’s a nice property but not well cared for. We had a good stay in spite of all the inconveniences.

The living room furniture needs replacing. Rocking chair broken. Child gates are needed for stairs. Otherwise it is very nice.

Nice cozy cabin stay
4/5 The cabin was nice & cozy with a beautiful view. The host was responsive as well. The kitchen had sufficient supplies which was nice. It was a bit hard to find at first since it says “misty view” outside of the cabin instead of the listing name, “Virgil’s Retreat. It can also be a hard to find during night time. The jacuzzi did stop working, but it was nice to use it while it lasted.

Bait and switch
1/5 The first thing I noticed is that the address is incorrect. With only one lane to drive through up the mountain, the address needs correction. I called the number listed and the property manager laughed at me and told me that everyone calls because it’s wrong. I asked why he didn’t fix it and he hung up on me. Next, the pictures on the app do not match the property. The pool table is ripped, there are only two bedrooms, and things are old and unsafe. For example, the second floor balcony spindles were so lose our 3 year old touched it, the spindle pushed completely out (it’s not screwed in) and he almost fell. We then checked the other spindles. Three total are bad. After having been treated so poorly by the properly manager, I did not call him back. We will not stay there again.

Beautiful Smoky Mountain View
4/5 The cabin was in a nice location and nice overall. The only hiccup was the cleaning staff was still there when we showed up for check in so we had to wait and they still only half cleaned the place. Yet the cabin and the surroundings were beautiful.
