  Great house, exquisite details, amazing locationWe loved the house. Plenty of space for 3 different families.It was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. We loved every minute of our stay!

  We stayed at Almost Home the week of Spring Break. The house is gorgeous and the details all throughout are exquisite. The special touches are really one of a kind.

  Our families loved the outside deck, views for days, really spectacular. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub, around the kitchen island and on the comfy couches. Not to mention, the awesome game room with pool table and arcade games.

  My one minor complaint would be to offer blinds in the 3rd floor bedrooms. The long windows provide a beautiful view but the sun could almost be blinding in the AM. It would be nice to have the option to use blinds. Location to downtown Gatlinburg can not be beat. Thanks for providing an exceptional home for our vacation.

  The cabin is extremely close to the strip, but still provides excellent mountain views. The cabin was the perfect size for our large family and had plenty of room for us to spread out. We will definitely visit here again.

• Owner passive aggressive towards us. Also, electric issues, driveway that can damage car

  Bad driveway layout, to turn right/out down to down even front of F150 scrapes, other party had VW Passat and metal frame hit bottom needs 10' of more gentle slope or wider flare up hill side to be safe/drivable. Electric outlets sketchy, in Kitchen could not power toaster, dozen ish others could not charge iPhone so hunted around and found outlets that worked. Hottub dropped to 80 degrees randomly for no known reason, worked the next day. Owner aggressive imo. Claims camera's only outside, who knows. Felt a bit 'big brother' ish. We came in, turned on gas fireplace and then we got insta-text "fireplace not allowed with AC on", even though I'd not touched HVAC yet I insta-apologized then checked HVAC and was on heat. Not sure what he was looking at. Next day (March 12th) it was 28 degrees, heat on and I went to turn on fireplace but noticed on each FP switch it said "FIREPLACE only to be used Nov-FEB .... so I guess avoid this place in October/March when freezing in the mountains? When we checked in, wife noticed knob/handle missing on a dresser.....typical of rentals and not a complaint by me as we don't use dressers on vacation so did not need it. Thought nothing of it until we checked out, 2 hours later passive aggressive (owner from an 937 area code) sent a LONG and accusing text "..... houskeeping reported dresser missing handle..." "..we need to know what happened and where the drawer handle is..." and comments accusing us of breaking or taking some crap wooden handle we never touched. $5k for a few nights to be hassled? We use VRBO often at this/higher price points....literally never been hassled like this. I was driving so I sent a quick " am driving, no idea what you are talking about but will reply when safe home".... THE OWNER quickly replied with a terse/unfriendly/ assuming I was to blame (again) text with ".... we will be awaiting your response...cleaners take inventory every time guest checks out....which is why the found the damage".... By this point the wife had told me it was missing when we checked in but no big deal, missing bits in most houses we rent'..... SO, OWNER...obviously your trusty cleaning crew missed it on one or more prior stay guest as was not us..... Before I could send my reply, OWNER texts a happy " housekeeping found handle, no need to reply, thank you, safe travels. SO NOW he is SORRY to have blamed us? Also minor trip hazard on chipped deck and what looks like Bear clawed lock by parking

  Hi Dave, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
  - We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience and we're disappointed that we didn't provide that for you and would like to take a moment to address your concerns.
  - The City of Gatlinburg Street and Engineering determines the placement of the driveways. In addition, there is a second, much flatter entrance, that also accesses the property that is only 50 feet away from the entrance of the property, but we're sorry that this had a negative impact on your stay.
  - We wish you had reached out during your stay and brought your concerns regarding the receptacles to our attention, we would have been more than happy to help and send the maintenance team to the property to investigate. Since your stay, we were able to determine that a breaker had tripped and disabled three out of the eight counter height receptacles, this was addressed and all other receptacles were checked and found to be working.
  - We want to assure you and future guests that there are no cameras in the living areas or on the usable deck spaces. As noted in our check-in instruction email, "A/C units are not available during winter months of November – March while the gas fireplaces are active (For special consideration reach out to Guest Contact)". When the fireplaces are turned on and the AC is running, WiFi thermostats and temperature sensors alert us, at this point a text is generated reminding guests of the check-in letter received from us that the AC and fireplace are not to be run simultaneously.
  - In reference to the other items mentioned, they have all been investigated and any valid issues found have been rectified for future guests.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, as our reviews over the past 12 years will confirm, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests in the future.

• Magnificent

  This property was as described and more. We vacationed with 3 generations of family

  members. Location, space, beds, kitchen, & decks were perfect.
