  • Dirty, need some fixing up was dingy and smelly

    This place was dirty. The indoor pool we were excited to use was not available for use and no one told us this before hand. There were missing lights and sparking plugins. Overall a disappointing visit as far as our place to stay goes.

    - Thank you for choosing to stay in our Gatlinburg condo and taking the time to leave a review.
    - We just finished completing a renovation at the end of April, which included new Pergo flooring, new cabinets with granite countertops, new appliances, and updated bathrooms. With the view, our condo is quite spectacular. The new updated photos are on the listing.
    - The outdoor pool is open, but the indoor pool is closed for the summer due to the building being under renovation.
    - There are spare bulbs in the kitchen cabinet if one were to go out. If you had reached out, we certainly would have advised you as to where they were.
    - We have never received reports of "sparking outlets" in six years; however, we will look into this further, so thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

  • Roaches! Roaches!

    The location is beautiful. Unfortunately that’s all that was beautiful. The condo was not swept. There were crumbs on the floor and on the kitchen counter. The drawer of the refrigerator was on the deck and there was a yellow liquid on the bottom of the refrigerator. The ceiling and wallpaper were peeling. In the middle of the night roaches were crawling around both bathrooms and the next day they were coming from the broken fireplace. We contacted the property manager and they said they will be out to spray. That evening when we got back there was a can of Raid and a towel on the floor on the outside of the door. I questioned the manager and they said they can’t go inside when no one is there. We then contacted VRBO which put us through to Evolve the company that runs it. They were very helpful. We left that night and rented a hotel and cut our vacation short. Evolve did refund the unused nights and the cleaning fee. We were appreciative of that. But a big thumbs down to this condo.

    -"We apologize that your stay wasn't up to expectations. As you can tell from our previous 6 and a half years of rental reviews this experience is not the norm. We have never experienced problems with pests before and after they were reported during your stay, we immediately contracted a service to address it. This property is now under monthly pest control service.
    -Additionally, the condo was recently renovated at the end of April with new Pergo flooring, new cabinets, new granite countertops, and new appliances. The wallpaper has also been removed.
    Thank you for your feedback."

  • Beware of Cockroaches

    Not great. The place was quite dirty and smelled bad. There were stains on sheets (the sheets couldn’t be removed)and there were cockroaches running throughout the unit. This was obviously a known problem given the fact that there was a spray can specifically for this under the sink.

    -We apologize for the inconvenience of pests during your stay. We have implemented monthly pest control so that future guests do not experience the same issue. We just completed renovations on our condo with the kitchen and bathrooms. We now have new Pergo flooring and new appliances.

    We stayed here on February and I was extremely surprised happy to book this area. It's close to Ober and Gatlinburg. However when we arrived, the key box was wide opened and the electronic door did not work at all. To lock the door once you are inside you only have one pull lock. Once you've entered, it's basically falling apart. Lots of the curling look like it's detaching and parts of the floor coming apart. It's extremely outdated and pretty gross. There were lots of tiny roaches in the kitchen when we first arrived. There was no broom or vacuum to keep the floors clean during the stay. It was not the most amazing experience we've had.

    -Thanks for bringing this to our attention and we sincerely apologize for the issues you were having with the lock, since this is not consistent with our expectations, typically a spare key is in the lockbox. The batteries needed to be replaced in the lock, we're sorry this was an issue for you and would have been happy to assist had you reached out
    -The owner let us know they keep a vacuum in the master bedroom closet if guests need it at any time
    -We apologize for the pests that you experience. When we heard of your complaint after your stay we took action immediately after hearing from you. We had an exterminator thoroughly inspect the entire home and treat the property. Our home cleanliness and comfort are our top priorities
    -We recognize the benefits of improving a home to provide our guests with a positive experience. We are remodeling the property to include new flooring, updating the kitchen and bathrooms, and new paint on schedule for this Spring to ensure a comfortable, and great environment
    We are sorry you weren’t completely satisfied and we do all we can to make the best possible stay. We have had such positive reviews in the past. We work very hard to ensure all guests arrive at a 5-star experience at our vacation home and we're confident that we will continue to do so moving forward!
