• Pretty nice place

  This octagonal house is quite nice inside with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped but dimly lit. The beds and linens are fine. It's a quick drive to town or the park. Internet worked well. The price was reasonable.

  Here are the downsides. The driveway tips so steeply off the road that you cannot see your trajectory if you're in a low car. Mine scraped bottom both coming and going because of the angle. The internal stairway is a metal spiral that would be a danger for young children, both the steps and the widely spaced guardrail at top. Better lighting is needed in several areas, especially the upstairs bedroom. The house is not at all accessible but that is made clear in the description.

  Let's start with getting into the cabin. Out of 5 of us I was the only person able to lock and unlock the door. You have to pull up hard while turning the deadbolt before the electronic lock times out. Blinds broken or non existent in half of the house. Broken furniture outside (thankfully we noticed before sitting), the trashcan inside stank of weed so the whole upstairs did, windows screwed shut but with gaps large enough to see light and feel the cold air, downstairs bedroom with the larger bed had at least one half dollar sized hole exposing the subflooring, was also stained, stains on the washcloths, very poorly done remodeling job (cable coax plate hanging out of the wall with no screws, 3 way switches improperly wired, etc.) There was a bag of trash on the lower deck when we arrived which we simply left. One of the black throw pillows upstairs has a very obvious semen stain on it. And finally because I dont feel like typing more the largest mattress pops like a shotgun any time someone rolls over. The price was reasonable but rustic and poorly maintained are 2 different things

  - Thank you for your review. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
  - Management could not replicate the entry door challenges. The door was installed this year (2023) with a new keyless entry. Since the door is closing well, the Home Depot contractor has not been called back to repair it.
  - Regarding the windows being screwed shut, only one window in a room with four other windows has been permanently closed.
  - The wood flooring throughout the cabin was replaced in 2022, and management found no damage in the King bedroom.
  - All linens were replaced in 2023.
  - We're sorry that your expectations were not met. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

• Had a great stay

  The cabin was so peaceful. The hot tub and scenery was great. Cabin accommodated our family of 6 well. Still plenty of room downstairs for the 4 children. My older daughter, who is special needs, loved her private room downstairs and a few steps from the hot tub. Many reviews mentioned the driveway. It’s not that bad. We stayed closer to the right side of the driveway and backed in. Huge plus was that the water pressure was awesome. Generally with other rentals the water pressure was basically no existent. There is a laundry mat in town to wash clothes. We decided to stay an extra night due to how much fun we were having. Thank you so much for providing a great space for the family.

• Nice Getaway

  We enjoyed our stay at this nice spacious cabin. It was comfortable and had all the things needed for our long weekend away. When we arrived the hot tub was not working but my husband contacted the cabin caretaker and they came the next day and fixed it with a new control panel. We appreciated the prompt response. We were not fond of the spiral staircase because of our mobility issues but we knew it was there when we chose the cabin. There needs to be an updated tv channel guide showing just the channels the cabin gets. It was very difficult to navigate thru the channels and figure out what was what and it required all 3 three remotes to operate one tv. But we had great wifi and cell signal. We also appreciate that the cabin was very clean and well kept.
