The first night(Friday) we got there the sink bathroom was slowly draining. Woke up Saturday my son used the bathroom. Wouldn’t flush. They brought a plunger and said it would be drained the monday. Sewer ended up coming up the bathtub so needless to say we didn’t get to use that. Because GROSS. So we had to leave EVERYTIME we needed to used the bathroom When we told them “oh shit I’ll take care of that” and never heard anything else to check on us to see if the problem resolved. I’ve reached out to the owners 3 separate times for a partial refund heard nothing. Oh ants literally every where also. If they would have tried to resolve the issue and check on us… I wouldn’t have left a bad review because these things happen. But what you do in a situation like this is where it matters. And these guys OBVIOUSLY do not care about how their cabins conditions are while people are staying. So stay at your own risk. Because they won’t reply after you aren’t happy. :)
Booking on line was pretty easy. I did think some of the additional fees (cleaning and booking fee), were a little much for what we rented. When we drove to the cabin to check in, found that someone was already there. Went to the camp host and he stated the booking company double booked, again! He was able to make arrangements for the other tenants to move to another cabin and even let us you his cooktop grill as our cabin did not have the stove as was pictured in the ad. He was very eager to help us make the best of our stay. Seem the cabins we supposed to be off availability for some remodeling and Vrbo did not get them offline. The cabin was nice for the stay. Could use a little remodeling or upgrades to make it better. Think it's time to replace some fixtures and the AC but we would stay there again.
Husband and I booked this to be adjacent to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and thought that it was in a nice little cabin compound. Wrong! It was the ONLY cabin in a trailer park. The other cabin you can see in pictures has been torn down. There were some RV's that looked like people weekend there but the majority were double wides that people live in. We had even initially thought that we took a wrong turn. On top of that, we were expecting a lake front property but the lake is apparently drained during the winter to quite a low level so instead of looking at water, we were looking at about 50 discarded tires where a boat ramp would normally be. Tried to get a refund with the third party company but we unfortunately had to eat the cost and book other accommodations last minute. Absolutely not as advertised!

Hi Charlotte, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- As stated in the listing, the property is located on Douglas Lake, and we also list the distance of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge attractions so our guests can determine before booking if the location suits their preferences.
- The lake is a state-controlled dammed river and is flood controlled by the state of Tennessee. We're sorry to hear that caught you off guard.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
We enjoyed our time there.

The cabin was perfect for the two of us while my husband fishes a 3 day tournament. There were ants in the cabin, only after a plate was left on the counter that held a cinnamon roll lol. Just keep food stored and all should be well. We would definitely use this cabin and camp ground again in the future!
