    This unit is "ok". Needs a good cleaning and maintenance, especially paint!! Can't stress that enough. I love MBR, but this unit is lacking, but we enjoyed the balcony. Bring extra silverware with you if you rent this unit as it only has 3 forks! We probably wouldn't choose this unit again, but God willing we'll be back to MBR.

  • Love Myrtle Beach Resorts, This Room had Some damage

    Although I had a good time, this room was somewhat damaged and a little dirty. Towel rack ripped off wall in hallway bathroom, extra door safety lock was missing on main door, main bedroom bathroom shower was very hard to turn, needs new shower faucet. Refrigerator was pulled out and unplugged when we got there and the floor was dirty under frig. The pull out couch that makes a bed was filled with dirt and sand. Both couches were very uncomfortable. Living room deck sliding glass doors wouldn't lock. Light bulbs were missing in bathroom. The cabinets are greasy and need to be spayed down with degreaser spay.. I'm really not a petty person at all but the stuff needs fixed and a deep clean. Just saying...

  • Very disappointed

    We have stayed at Myrtle Beach Resort for over 10 years and have always used VRBO but never had an experience with a rental management company through VRBO. I’ll never do it again. For starters, they deducted my down payment twice. Then they later randomly deducted two other separate charges. Thankfully they did get that all worked out. We were assigned a guest contact while we were there. Ha! Might as well have set a brick wall before us and told us to go there for assistance. Communication was non existent. We had no parking passes in the unit when we got there. I called and left multiple messages and sent text messages and got zero response. We were approached by security twice because we didn’t have parking passes. I told them we didn’t have any and they told me I would need to contact whoever we rented from, which I had already tried and tried. We finally called the number for the cleaning service that was on the refrigerator and they brought parking passes on Wednesday (we checked in on Sunday). I have to wonder what we would have done if something would have been really wrong and we needed something quickly because as I said, there was no communication with our guest contact. Overall, our experience with the rental management company was just very inconvenient and I wouldn’t recommend it. I will go back to the way I’ve always rented with VRBO and only use the personal rentals. I’ve always had great communication and never had any issues with getting things resolved quickly if necessary. Now for the cleanliness. It wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen but it was pretty gross. We got there when they were finishing up “cleaning” and they told us it would be another half hour which was totally okay because we were a little early. We walked on the beach and came back in just under an hour. There was hair on the toilets and the bathtubs. Neither bathtub was wet which told me they hadn’t been cleaned because they wouldn’t have dried that quickly. There were two light bulbs missing in the master bath and the overhead light doesn’t work. There is a hole in the wall in the main bathroom, possibly from the towel bar being ripped out of the wall. The floors behind the toilets are disgusting. The bathroom floors definitely had not been mopped at all. The door to the water heater/HVAC is covered in dust and needs wiped off. It was just overall dirty and needs a good deep clean then needs to be maintained. We won’t be staying in this unit again for sure.

  • Could Have Been Good….

    VRBO DOES NOT HAVE YOUR BACK. Be very weary. Rented a 2 bed 2 bath condo for my family. First vacation in 4 years. The resort was great. The view was good and location. BUT: the bathtub in the master bedroom had NO WAY TO TURN WATER ON so all 6 people shared one tub, only 2 light bulbs out of 4 were screwed into the vanity light bar and the vent light in the ceiling did not work. The tv in the family area did not work. The only blanket shredded during the first night. (Batteries and a blanket were brought to our room at 11 pm. Already in bed. Still did not fix tv. This was during the 2nd night and HOURS after I started complaining.). There was a hole in the main bathroom wall and the towel bar was missing. Honestly, they responded by saying ok we will get right on it. Nope! Not even a phone call from anyone checking to see if we were satisfied. Do not expect any reimbursement, perhaps a discount on a later stay, or moved to a decent room. My review is no reflection on Myrtle Beach Resort. The resort was wonderful! Perfect for anyone wanting to have fun at the beach.

  • Horrible

    When we arrived it was not clean and no sheets or blankets. Could not get ahold of the property owner. We waisted a whole day trying to get everything figured out and ended up having to go buy our own towels, blankets, and sheets for the night. When we woke up and went to take a shower we then realized the shower handle was broken and still had not heard from the owner. Finally later that evening we were able to to with the guy who was supposed to clean and they gave us our linens but they still didn’t fix the broke shower or toilet seat. I wouldn’t recommend staying in this particular room to anyone unless they make sure this doesn’t happen again!!
