  This was a great house, community, and location. Less than a 5-minute walk to the beach or a pool to get away from the beach crowd. We were very pleased and would definitely stay again.

We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: Karen, I am sorry to hear you had issues with checking in--I'm sorry to only now be hearing about that, as I would have taken care of any concern you may have had. I would like to know what happened so I can improve the process in the future if necessary. I feel my kitchen is well equipped with different sizes of pots and pans and an Instantpot, etc., but I would like to know if you think it is missing anything in particular. I'm glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay.

  The location on this property is the best thing about it. A short two block walk to the beach is amazing. But with so many other places to stay in the same area, I wouldn't return to this one. The place smelled very musty and smoky when we arrived. I ended up using an entire bottle of Febreeze throughout our weeklong stay. There were pictures and descriptions saying that there was a grill and patio set outside, which was not true. I emailed the contact multiple times on Saturday, the day we arrived, and had no response. I emailed again on Tuesday after we realized the air conditioner was not working. Then, I called Wednesday and DID get response and the contact did work her hardest that day to fix everything, but unfortunately that really felt too little, too late. The contact and air conditioning repair person asked me to stay at the residence to be there so they could fix things (something that, since I met the contact in person in the morning, I felt she should have taken care of). I've stayed at quite a few rental places and this was my worst experience so far.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: “I’m sorry to hear the local contact wasn’t responsive. I did not hear about these complaints myself or I would have done everything I could to get things resolved immediately so you could enjoy the home. I was informed about the missing grill and patio set and I had them replaced the same day. I was also surprised to hear about the air conditioner as it was newly installed last year. I had a repairman come the day I learned of the issue.” We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the location and the beach, and we are confident this cottage will provide a great stay for future guests!
