Great beach condo. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach. This is an older condo and it shows. Needs some TLC but it was everything my family needed. We loved the 3rd story balcony over looking the sparkling pool. If you're looking for a condo in pristine condition this isn't it but, if you're looking for a cozy, family friendly condo this has everything you need.

I was very happy with the location of the property. Quick walk or bike to the beach and steps away from the pool. The host was quick to respond and helpful prior to our stay. However, was a little disappointed with the inside of condo, it is very old and needs a lot of TLC.

Owner's Response: "Thank you for your review, Jessica. We are regularly updating the condo, as noted in the recently installed new kitchen countertops, dining room and living room flooring, the expanded deck, and updated bathrooms. We will be completing additional remodeling in the late fall of this year. I hope you plan to return to our beautiful island and beaches."
The place was completely worn out in need of a gut job. There was one chair that was so nasty, I wouldn’t sit in it. All but one dining chairs had rips in them. The carpet was full of sand and worn out. There was no mention of the master being on the 3rd floor. I’m 64 with really bad knees. When we arrived there was a pan in the fridge to catch the leak, and we were assured that it would be fixed on Monday. It never was. The TV in master never worked. There was mold around the vent in the master bath. The drawers in the kitchen were full of dirt. I have picture if I could down load I would.
This condo needs to be upgraded. The pictures are accurate but it extremely old and you can tell it hasn't been updated in a long time. Check in time was 3 o'clock. I had to email to get the code to check in. The closet in the hallway fell when my daughter went to open it. The head board feel off one of the twin beds. That same twin bed seemed to be missing a slate so it was sank down somewhat. The upstairs shower looked like Chewbacca had showered in it, hair everywhere. That's just nasty. Coffee maker didn't work. The fold out couch was nasty and no one would even sleep on it. On Sunday there was some problem with a water leak and we didn't have water for a couple of hours. We were told prior to coming down that the pool would be open on Monday (after Covid), so my daughter patiently waited all weekend for no pool first thing Monday morning. When I asked about that at 10:22 they were waiting for the pool to be "serviced". At 12:49 I got a text saying the pools were open. No one had unlocked them yet. Finally someone came around about 1:15 and opened them. After walking in I thought I wonder what they serviced?? The pool was a mess, pine needles everywhere. I just said screw it and started cleaning everything that I could off of the top. My kid had waited days to swim. At 3:00 I got a text saying they weren't opening the pools today. What the heck? No one knew what was going on. I told the lady I was dealing with that we had already been at the pool since 1:15, while we waited all morning for it to be "serviced" and that I had already cleaned out as much as I could. The service company actually came to clean the pool at 2:45. I will say that Rita that I dealt with tried her best to make things right but this was by far the worst experience that I have ever had a Hilton Head Island and with a VRBO rental. I would recommend skipping this property.

Tina, thank you for your feedback. This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response:
"I am so sorry that you did not have a pleasant experience. As I explained
to you, we were unaware that the closet door to the air handler/water
heater had broken from the track and offered to send Maintenance the same day, but you declined. The bathrooms were cleaned thoroughly and I apologize for the one piece of hair on the shower wall that you sent a
picture of that was missed. This too would have been addressed by
maintenance. As to the coffee maker, no prior renter reported that it
wasn't working until you did. On the same day that you reported it, a new coffee maker was delivered to the condo along with a couple of bottles of wine to help compensate for your troubles. As for the pool, the condo owners were informed that the pools would open as of that Monday, as per the Governor due to prior COVID-19 closure. I agree it would have been nice if it were open first thing in the morning and clean but that is out of our control. In an effort to keep you updated on the pool status, the condo office misinformed me as to it not being open. As to the headboard, it has never come out before. As to not having water for a few hours, I do apologize but that was due, as I had explained, to an exterior water line break that involved multiple units. I constantly called for updates and informed you as soon as I learned that the water was restored. There have been updates to the unit (1st floor completely repainted in January, wood floors installed) and we will continue to strive to update the unit. As to anything broken, if we aren't informed, we don't know but once we are made aware, we address it immediately. That is our practice. I can understand your frustration as it's very atypical that anything occurs during a stay at our condo, no less a few. We pride ourselves in families and couples having happy stays."
We enjoyed our stay! Great location and plenty of room!
