Our daughter loved getting to watch the deer every morning and roast marshmallows every evening. This home was the perfect place to get away for a mini-vacation!
Our only complaint was that the host was a bit rude. You need to send paperwork in for the HOA 72 hours prior to your arrival and when we tried to confirm, she answered neither texts nor emails. When we called and she finally answered, she seemed exasperated that we were following up to make sure all the required paperwork was complete. Not the best customer service.
Thankfully, the owner responded promptly when we had a trash concern upon arrival. She then checked in several times during our trip and was also very pleasant and professional.
We visited A Pocono Country Place and stayed at this residence for 7 days. It was nice to arrive to a home without worrying about towels and linens. The kitchen was stocked with spices for cooking and even coffee and tea. Both bathrooms had plenty of soap and hair care products. The shower heads had great water pressure.
This home had just enough space for 4 adults and 2 children. Grammy and Poppy stayed downstairs while we played musical beds with the kids upstairs. My daughter slept on the couch pullout every night. The kids really enjoyed hanging out up in the loft. The WiFi was outstanding. We had 5 phones, 2 tvs, and 2 tablets running on it without a problem.
The home had 5 amenity badges we could use for the week. This is important to note because there is a fee without the badges.
I wish I would have called A Pocono Country Place prior to booking to verify when the beach is considered "open." We were able to sit on the beach and make sand castles, but the children were not permitted to go into the water to swim without lifeguards. The beach was officially open a day before we left so we spent most of the day in the water.
We were able to swim at the pool every day. It was not busy until Friday, July 1st. The E section had the nicest playground, pool, and included the beach. This home is in the same vicinity as the E section and is a short drive away. You do not have to leave the gated community to visit the E section.
My kids made friends everyday with someone new. It was pleasant to see all the young children playing and having fun. I believe most of the new friends were residents of A Pocono Country Place.
I also want to relay that the young staff working at the pool, cafe', and beach were very polite. It was a nice week with the young staff assisting us. Please do not treat the young staff rudely. It is not their fault A Pocono Country Place is dealing with staffing issues just like everywhere else.
The next door neighbors were very nice. My girls enjoyed playing with the neighbor kids.
The owner was a text message away with any questions. She did not hear from me until halfway through our week when I could not operate the downstairs tv. She responded right away and it was determined to be operator error.
This was a very nice, calm, and inexpensive vacation. It saved us an additional 2 hours to drive to a real beach and our dog came along for the trip. The rental is pet friendly.
We came here fir a girls weekened gateway. The place was a nice size for the 5 of us. It was licated near everything that we wanted to do.. i would recommend this place to my family who wants to go to Camelback.
We enjoyed our and and we were close to many places for adventure and dinning. The staff at the check in was overly friendly and very informative. However it was 5 adults and we had just enough space especially in the living room/dining room/kitchen area.
Made a quick trip to the Poconos area with the wife and friends for a long weekend. This place was a nice sized house for our group. Place was clean, beds were comfy, host was very informative and attentive. We didn’t get to take advantage of the amenities because it was winter time. Would definitely come back again.
