• Was not what we expected

  Overall stay was not good. This property is located in a gated run down community. Many of the homes were on top of each other and not secluded at all. It was listed as a cabin and that was totally the opposite. When we arrived, the driveway and deck and walkway was not even plowed or shoveled. The property mama get told my wife and I there’s shovels on the property and to clean it. No thank you. The code to unlock the door didn’t work and they had to give me a new one. When we finally got inside it was nice but there was stains on the ceiling from water damage. To make matters better this place hasn’t been dusted in probably months. The property manager then told me they wouldn’t be able to get anyone out to clean it until after we left. when my wife went to use the “clean” blankets, we opened up the bed and noticed dirty sheets and pee and poop and blood stains on the comforters and sheets. Absolutely unreal. The beds where horrible to sleep on and totally uncomfortable. Will never rent again and I advise DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE IN Tobyhanna. Absolutely run down and nothing to do. We will never use VRBO again.

  Hi David, we're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - As described in the listing, the cabin is located in a gated community with many houses. We're sorry to hear that caught you off guard.
  - The house was not plowed as there was about 1" of snowfall, and it was 50 degrees when you arrived. The snow had already mostly melted, and we did not tell you or your wife to clean the snow.
  - We apologize for the issue with the door code. It was updated recently, and you might have received the old one. However, our Guest Contact provided the new code as soon as you reached out.
  - There is a small stain on the ceiling that has been addressed, and there are no leaks in the roof.
  - The only mention you made to our Guest Contact about dust was on the living room ceiling fan, which is about 20 feet up, and only possible to reach with a ladder. It has since been addressed.
  - There was only one small stain on the bedding, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
  - Mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this from the many guests we've had.
  - There are many fun things to do in Tobyhanna, and we list many of them in our welcome book, as well as providing brochures to many attractions.

• Very nice cozy cabin

  Had a great experience. Very modern cleaned and organized. They had Netflix internet, dvr games movies etc. i wish they had soup and shampoo. Peace neighbor. Is not isolated. Had a good time and i highly recommend it.

• Did Not Meet Expectations

  Our stay a "Pocono Country Place" did not meet our expectations. Pictures of both the inside and outside posted on VBRO are very deceiving. I would not consider this "Country" at all. The house is located in a development and the houses are very close. Roughly 20 yards. The way the pictures are taking for VRBO were taken in a way where you don't see the houses. The inside of the cabin was nice but way smaller then the pictures lead you to believe. I really didn't have problem with the size of the cabin...Cleanliness. We did have a problem with this. There was black dog hair everywhere. In the beds, on the bed sheets and pillow cases. We had to wash all of the linens when we arrived. There was toothpaste stuck on the inside of the upstairs bathroom sink. And the living room and dining room floor was full of dog hair and crumbs. (My wife swept and had a pile. We have pictures)Also, the keyless entry didn't work. And then the Lockbox with a spare key was frozen solid...So I had to overturn a larg rock to find a key....We made the most of the trip, but will not be returning. I would not reccomend this location for a "Country Cabin" Getaway.

'Pocono Country Place' is the name of the development, so we are sorry for the confusion. We have tried to make our listing as accurate as possible, from the descriptions to the photos. The lot is about .25 acres with a few neighboring properties that are fairly close to the property lines. We are hoping to add landscaping features to create more privacy for the property. We will be working with Evolve to see if we need to add more photos of the property that shows the neighboring properties.
  We will address the cleanliness issues with our cleaning team right away to make sure that nothing will be overlooked moving forward.

• Beautiful

  We really enjoyed this location. Super clean. Has everything!! Owner has games for family. Just so perfect and nice. We came during the storm and weather was bad. The house was the highlight of our trip. Lovely area. Pool has lifeguards which was nice for a family swim. There is a playground near pool. Beautiful beach and boating nearby. Perfect family location. Thank you to the owners....rushed out and feel bad I didnt get to write them a thank you!!
