  The house met all of our expectations as a great home base between hiking and seeing the sites in The Poconos. Owner was very responsive and helpful

• Nice location. A few things you should know.

  We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a great location and we were able to easily travel to the winter activities in the area. The kids had a blast with the ice hockey table and darts! When we thought we might need to cancel due to weather conditions, the management group was kind and accommodating. Guests of this location should be aware that they will need to bring their own firewood and that the fire pit and deck in the picture is located in the front of the house, not too far from the street. I had wrongly assumed the fire pit was in the privacy of the backyard. There were also no instructions about how to heat the location and we struggled to figure it out (there’s a remote for one major unit but also switches for heat in every room). Make sure to also bring your own shampoo and conditioner since none is provided. Last, we had a difficult time at first getting in touch with the management group. It took about a week and several attempts of me reaching out before I received their response to our request to change the dates of our stay and to then submit a partial refund. Overall a good stay with just some very minor issues (listed here).

• Not clean

  It was not clean, not even close. I had to mop the floors several times, so we could feel somewhat less disgusted. The beds were questionable as to were they cleaned, lots of food under couches, the outside was not taken care of and had cigarette buds on the porch and ash tray. Spiderwebs/dust on fans, wire from ceiling fan to upstairs railing, molding not flush with the ground (this is nitpicking, however because of the aforementioned it stood out), dishes not cleaned, and shower floor was black (I also had to clean before use). Customers shouldn’t have to clean your house.I would have left this house the moment I walked in, but I knew it would have been difficult to get a refund and ruined a day for my family’s get away weekend as I searched for another place to stay.This place charges a cleaning fee, that should be refund to me as I cleaned the house before using and after. People want to feel comfortable and clean when staying at a Vrbo house. We picked this house because it had positive reviews and had an air hockey and darts. We thought our teenage kids would have a good time playing with those, during some downtime, however no pucks or darts. So very misleading in your photos. We didn’t receive any refunded or some type of apologetic email with an attempt to show remorse and wanting to fix this negative experience.

• Beautiful Clean ample home

  This home is spectacular our stay was very pleasant. The host (Nick) was so accommodating, we asked if he would allow an extra person and early/late checkout and he was more than happy to allow it. The neighborhood is secluded how we love but not to secluded that we would feel “alone”. The house had a lot of cookware that was very helpful. The house was so clean and smelled so good. Our kids loved the home so much to do. When we were there we saw deer in the backyard and it was surreal since we are city folks. Overall this home is definitely the place to stay as many activities are close by. Amazing home, Great location, Friendly host couldn’t ask for a better find on Evolve. We would definitely return!
