It gives you easy access to numerous outdoor activities, including biking and hiking in the summer, vibrant fall color sightseeing, and skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Plus, you'll find 2 lakes within the community that allow non-powered boats, so make sure to bring along your canoe and paddleboard!
For skiing, head to Hideout Ski Slope, located just up the road from the house. Enjoy easy slopes, along with a tubing hill and natural ice skating rink! You'll find more skiing at several resorts, including Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain, Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Camelback Mountain Resort, and Shawnee Mountain Ski Area - all found within an hour's drive of your home-away-from-home. Additional winter activities include snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, and snowmobiling!
As winter transitions to spring, bust out your hiking boots and bikes! There's plenty of hiking trails nearby at areas such as Promised Land State Park and Varden Conservation Area. Mountain biking and whitewater rafting are also popular activities. Lehigh Gorge State Park is another scenic destination, just over an hour away!

Cozy, warm, humble house.
5/5 I highly recommend this house to stay at. I would like to return during the warm weather. The house makes you feel like if it was your own. It's very comfy, cozy, and warm. My family, and 3 other families stayed here. We had a wonderful time playing games, laughing, making dinners together.

Great house in the Hideout
4/5 Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and well stocked with many supplies. The kids loved the air hockey and board games that were provided. The only small disappointment was that the photos in the listing show bunk beds, which my son was really looking forward to sleeping in. When we arrived, we found that the bunk beds have been separated. I would recommend that the owner take new pictures and update the listing since the bunk beds are no longer there. It was also a little warm upstairs, as the only air conditioning unit is downstairs. Other than those two things, the property was great and we would definitely recommend it! The community is also great and has a lot to offer in terms of the pools, lake access, clubhouse (which includes a restaurant), basketball, tennis, etc.

Poconos holiday visit
5/5 the property was as good or better than described. The home was very clean and well furnished. We entertained our grandkids overnight one night and took advantage of the games in the basement as well as the pool and beach access. Owners were very cooperative in answering any questions we had.
