• Home was clean and Owner was responsive to our concerns but home was lacking significant supplies.

  We did complete our stay at this property as we were on our annual sisters gathering weekend and we were not inclined to miss it due to the inconveniences in this home.

  We were able to promptly reach the local guest contact whom I believe was the owner. He did address our most immediate concerns regarding the extreme heat in the home (99 degrees) upon our arrival and the lack of a coffee pot. He had the neighbor bring us a coffee pot and he helped us adjust the thermostat to improve the temperature, at least in the upstairs thermostat . Unfortunately the downstairs thermostat that was recently installed did not function properly for our stay and we were unable to get the temp below 75 degrees even with windows and doors open. He did ask what else we needed immediately. We did decide to complete our stay as this was our only opportunity for our sisters annual gathering weekend.

  Regarding the home: it was clean, the beds were all good beds and were all made with clean linens. There were enough bath towels provided, but no hand towels.

  What was lacking upon our arrival was notable:

  Kitchen - no dish towels or pot holders, no coffee pot, no toaster, no paper towels, no regular drink glasses (some plastic beer cups and some plastic wine glasses), minimal cook and bakeware (1 medium frypan, 1 small frypan, 1 sauce pan, 1 cakepan, 1 metal bowl) no cookie sheet, no other baking or serving dishes or bowls, limited utensils in a messy drawer (the only drawer in the kitchen)and the few cooking items in the kitchen were stored under the sink. No ice or ice trays to make ice.

  The oven and frig were good. No dishwasher so dish towels were necessary.

  living room lacked any lights

  Bathrooms: no hand towels and no bath rugs. Bath off master bedroom on top floor does not have a sink or mirror so use of the toilet does not have option of washing hands.

  Bedrooms: extra blankets and pillows needed.

  We felt that the owners intentions were good but that the deficiencies of the home should have been addressed by the owner AND EVOLVE before it was put on the rental market. We regretted the money we spent for our stay.
