  We booked this property for a cousin’s weekend and it did not disappoint. The property was very spacious. Kelli was great to work with. The property was in a nice quiet area and overall our stay was awesome!

• Great for family stays

  Our family enjoyed this house for a short getaway. Kitchen was fully stocked and there was plenty of space for everyone. The game room and fire pit were a hit. Kelli was very responsive leading up to and during our stay.

• Not a lake house

  Booked this property last minute because it was listed as being a lake house. Upon arriving house is very spacious and kitchen was well stocked. Some areas of the house had cobwebs and weren't as clean as the rest of the house. Rooms only had window ac units so the house wasn't very cool. Backyard was rough. No path to the "lake" grass overgrown at the edge but the biggest disappointment was the lake. Nothing in the listing stated it was a shallow lake. Only when I received check in instructions was anything mentioned and by than to late to cancel. The lake is like a giant puddle. No joke only about 3 feet deep and impossible to swim in. Don't book if your looking for a house with a lake to enjoy

  Hi Mark, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
  - We do have a path to the lake. It is described as a rough backyard because it's in the woods. We don't have a traditional lawn because the grass can't grow well where the trees are densest
  - We were not aware that the reeds around the lake were so long. We took care of the issue after your departure. We apologize for the inconvenience
  - We will update the listing to ensure it clearly states we have window A/C units
  - As described in the listing, the lake is a wading lake with swimming only at the beach. There are no piers or docks because it's a conservation. No motors of any kind are allowed on it. We encourage guests to carefully review the listing before booking to ensure our property suits their preferences
  - We'll inform the cleaners about the cobwebs, so they are removed
