• Bear Crossing Cabin

  This cabin was exactly what we were looking for and very well equipped for our needs. We would love to stay here again but it appears that the pricing (this year versus 2024) is doubling in price and will unfortunately go beyond our budget and cost justification.

• Great Cabin, Needs Maintenance

  The property was as described and nice. However, the property is in need of maintenance. When we arrived there was no propane. The property management company sent someone out within an hour. We had difficulty with the heat and eventually checked the filters. All hvac filters were black and need to be replaced. Two windows in the living room leak when it rains. The hot tub smelled terrible. We emailed the property management company and received no response.

  Hi Emily, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - After you contacted us regarding the propane, we were able to deliver some in under an hour. To clarify, there was propane at the cabin, but you were concerned about not having enough to cook crab legs.
  - Our team also addressed and replaced the air filter after your stay. Unfortunately, a guest rearranged the fireplace logs, causing soot to flow into the cabin.
  - The hot tubs are drained and refilled with an added chemical after every stay. At the first of the month, they are sanitized. Extra chemicals, labeled with instructions, are provided under the sink for guests who frequently use the hot tub during their stay.
  - The windows leaks were not reported and have not been seen by other guests, including the homeowners, during heavy rains. We were there the following week and noticed no leaks. We would love to know more about the location of the leaks so we can repair them.

• Baylor bears at Bear Crossing

  The cabin was beautiful with lots of room. The bear motif was perfect. The description was a great guide and even more amenities than listed. Slight improvement- more paper towels and dishwasher pods. At other properties there were more kitchen cooking essentials… like cinnamon, sugar and others spices and basics. Not suggesting that these be added .. . For family cooks would be nice to be prepared

• Beautiful cabin in a very private and well-maintained area. Would definitely look again.

  This property was gorgeous. Perfect for our family of nine. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside by the gas outdoor fireplace watching the deer. Very convenient location. Restaurants very close by and only a few minutes to get to good fishing spots. We would definitely look this again!
