  AWe recently had a baby, but still wanted to get away from Dallas for a weekend to celebrate. It was a great little house for my family and close proximity to the state park and restaurants. Roads to the house were quite bumpy, but I’m sure some of that was due to the recent rain that had come through. That also is not to the fault of the home owners, just something to be aware of when traveling.

  Honestly, if I could’ve got a refund, I would’ve left the same day I got there. When we start to unpack, we noticed ants in the bathroom, bunk beds felt as if they would fall apart and a used fitted sheet for the hid away bed. But it also had a sour smell to it. We washed the fitted sheet so my kids could have a place to stay. Next morning, I started to get stuff out to cook breakfast and it’s not a fully stocked kitchen like they claim. The only thing nice, was the hot tub.

  - Thank you for choosing to stay in my cabin and leaving a review, as guest feedback is vitally important to the success of my vacation rental business
  - I sincerely apologize for the ant issue! I have the cabin treated for pests both inside and outside quarterly. The guests who checked out prior to you didn't mention any ants, so we weren't aware of the issue until you notified us the evening you arrived
  - We promptly contacted the pest control company, and they completed treatment the Monday after you departed. We have since not had any complaints
  - Coffee filters are located in the cabinet above the coffee maker. I also purchased a complete set of pots and pans, baking sheets, and various other small appliances and utensils after I bought the cabin a year ago
  - If you were missing something, I would have been happy to have reimbursed you for the purchase of an item with a valid receipt
  - I have one of the best cleaners in town, and she only installs new sheets on the beds; additionally, she keeps things meticulously clean and always stocks items that are running low. There's also an extra set of clean sheets in one of the bedroom closets
  - My cleaner and previous guests have never indicated or spoken about a smell coming from the sleeper sofa, so we will investigate further to see if we need to remediate anything
  - I will personally take an inventory of all the items referenced in your review and will address everything that needs attention
  - We pride ourselves on a 5-star guest experience. Had you reached out with these additional issues, my cleaner and I would have bent over backward to make things right
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
