  We found the owners to very helpful, the place was very clean , comfortable and had extra niceties that was very appreciated. The only thing we would like to recommend is to add hand rails on the stairs going up to the house and hand rails on the stairs on the deck for safety. Other than the handrails I would consider staying there again.

  Delightful stay in a comfortable lake house with a great view. Spent two full days of our vacation just sitting on the gorgeous deck, watching the water and wildlife, with the gentle breeze blowing in from the lake. Hosts ensured we had everything we needed.

• Almost Grand Lake stay

  Nice view of the lake, except through the living room upper windows, which were so dirty. Was not impressed by the musty smell or so many cobwebs. Off to the store for air fresheners. The only kitchen lights that worked were the ones inside the refrigerator. Not the ceiling light, not the over sink light or the vent hood light. Made preparing breakfast or an evening meal by flashlight very inconvenient. The light globe from the ceiling fan fell off onto the bed startling us and exposing sketchy wiring. The build-up of dust on the ceiling fans and under the beds was obvious that it had not been cleaned for a long time. I had issues with lights throughout. So dim it was difficult to tell which shirt was blue or black. Ceiling lights in the main living room were inoperative. Too many wasp nests to count. Under the railing edge was nothing compared to under the dock roof. The latch to the sliding door was broken, and there is a hokey tube holding the door closed. And finally, since we have to pay a cleaning fee the expectation is that the property would be clean for our stay. Expectation not met.

  -We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. While we want our guests to enjoy their stay here, we also need them to respect our house rules and treat the property as their own.
  -The cleaners take pride in making sure that the cabin is cleaned upon your arrival. The spiders you encountered can be common in our rural location but our cleaning team works hard to make sure that the home is free of any webs or critters as well as regular pest control. We have looked into your concerns and can confirm the windows are clean and we did not find any dust. We have never experienced problems with bad odors and our cleaning team did not report anything unusual during their cleaning before your stay. All of the lighting is operational.
  -We have never experienced issues like this either before your stay or since. We wish you had reached out to us during your stay if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.
  We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback.
