• House smells like mold and infested with ants!

  This house stinks like mold, the master shower leaks that is probably the source of the smell. The caretaker attempts to cover up smell with fabreze plug in, but that just makes the smell worse. This house is also infested with ants, which makes sense because these ants are attracted to water. The ants were crawling all over the house, in bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, even my son found one in his bed. We communicated with the house caretaker apon check in with these matters, which we did. Not get a response until the next morning. The only response was to drop off ant traps!!!!! We checked out that morning and asked for our reservation refund, however the caretakers only reply was for me to have a nice day!! I am now working with VRBO to make owners be accountable.

  Hi Sarah S, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience and want to take a moment to address your concerns.
  - Ants around the Reno area are very common this time of year! We use a professional pest control company that regularly treats the property for preventative measures, and they were at the property one week before your stay. When our Guest Contact reached out to you the morning she received your text, you had already made the decision to cut your stay short and stated you had found other accommodations. Immediately after your departure, our guest contact went to the property and could not find any evidence of an ant infestation, but did see about 6 ants, however, to be cautious, we requested the pest control company come and further investigate, who in turn confirmed there was no evidence of an ant infestation, we have not had any complaints since your stay, in addition, we were confused by the claim of the "smell of mold" and after following up and further looking into this concern, we were unable to detect any smell.
  - The shower is a standard all-glass shower built into the corner and the door closes against a glass wall so a perfect seal is difficult, however, we have a specialist coming in to see if we can remedy the issue.
  We are sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay and hope that measures taken by both ourselves and Evolve with the issuance of refund for the nights not stayed, made up for any inconvenience.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

  The property was excellent. Close to a lot of stores and eateries. On site washer and dryer with detergent and softener. Would definitely stay there again.

  Booked this place rated on past reviews. The place is in a great neighborhood and the vibe in the house is wonderful. They thought of everything. Beds were very comfortable and the decor is very nice. Would not hesitate to book this house again. Great grocery store Save Mart near by.
