• Perfect Getaway!

  Visited our daughter in Reno for holiday weekend and this cottage was simply the best! Phenomenal amenities in every room - no stone left unturned. Arrived late at night and the goodies in the fridge were exactly what we needed. Short walk to wonderful coffee shops, bakeries, pizza place. Thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful stay!

• Perfect Retreat

  The hosts of this cottage thought of everything! From the moment we stepped in the door we were impressed with the decor, privacy, and amenities. The location is so well suited for enjoying Reno and we were impressed with the binder of information on the cottage and the local area. As we returned from touring each day we knew we had a very comfortable retreat. Thank you for all the care and work at making this cottage a place we plan to return to.

  House is cute. It was nice to have a full kitchen with all the appliances, cookware, ect., It has just about everything you need to prepare food including spices. We forgot coffee and we’re pleased to find fresh coffee on the kitchen counter. It would have been nice to have an extra kitchen towel. It was just the two of us but if there were more we would have ran out of silverware. The floors were dirty and so were the rugs- looked like a combination of dirt, rocks, dust, and maybe cobwebs. I used the swifter to mop the areas where we were going to walk and dusted the bedroom and bathroom window seal because I’m allergic to dust. I’m not sure why the house wasn’t cleaned properly. The house says pets aren't allowed yet there was quite a bit of pet hair on the rug in the bedroom and on the floor. I’m allergic to pet dander and dust & was allergic during our stay. The house must have been sprayed for ants because it wreaked of bug spray. The guest contact was able to get someone out the next day to clean the floors. They also washed the dishes and took out the trash. The floors squeaked throughout the house except the bathroom making it difficult for my husband to sleep since he goes to bed early and I stay up late. I’m sensitive and allergic and these things bothered me enough to not want to stay here again unless they were fixed. If you can’t get past these things the house is very cute, the neighborhood is nice, a good place to walk or ride a bike.

  Hi Elizabeth. The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
  - Thank you for the feedback about the dust. We have talked with our cleaning crew to ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers. However, our cleaner went above and beyond to assist by arriving within 45 minutes of you reaching out to re-clean the floors, as well as clean the dishes and take out the trash you'd used the night before.
  - Rest assured that no pet dander was in the property as we haven't had a pet visit the property for a couple of years. The "dust/dander" you saw on the rug and under the rug comes from the shag rug. Shag rugs are fibrous and tend to attract dust. To remedy this, we've replaced the rug with a new, low-pile one that will be much easier to clean.
  - We do not spray anything inside the property, and also take care to use unscented cleaning products to acknowledge guests' sensitivities. The smell possibly came from a neighbor spraying but we're sorry if this impacted your stay.
  - As for the squeaky floors, the house is almost 100 years old and it happens sometimes. Thanks to your feedback, we're adding this to the listing description so that future guests aren't caught off guard.

• Duplex conveniently located near downtown

  Great location. Walking distance to Perenn bakery, art museum, walks around lakes and river. Many cool restaurants, casual and upscale.

  The kitchen is fully equipped with a nice gas stove. It is easy to cook or go out to eat. Has a gas fireplace which is always nice.

  Our stay was very pleasant.
