  • Beautiful house with some issues

    The location of the house is wonderful

    It's very spacious and fairly clean. However we did not sleep well because of a couple of issues:

    1) the wifi router is placed right next to your head in one of the bedrooms with a sign on it that says you will be fined if it is disconnected.

    2) The mattresses are extremely soft, to the point where they become v-shaped when two people sleep on them.

    Rebecca, I’m glad you enjoyed our house and location! We do agree it’s a perfect location for everything Tahoe!

    - We apologize if you found the sign on the router to be unpleasant. It is an older home and that’s the only spot with a connection. The reason we don’t want people to disconnect it is because we have had issues with getting the internet back on after its been disconnected. Many of the devices for the house require the internet in order to work properly. We are sorry and do hope you understand.

    - We're sorry you found the mattresses to be uncomfortable. We have received mixed reviews on these mattresses. Some of our renters love how soft they are and some don't. They are current to this year, memory foam mattresses, we had them highly recommended to us and just recently purchased them. The mattress on the pull out couch upstairs is much firmer, and is always an option for guest.

    We appreciate your feedback, and hope you can come back to stay with us again!

  • Great location

    The property location is terrific. Close to everything on the north shore. Property bedrooms are downstairs and can be challenging to sleep when people are upstairs in the kitchen and living room. We weren't able to enjoy the sauna because it wasn't working. Dryer was not working either. The owner was very responsive and apologetic for the series of unfortunate events. Refunded $160 of what we paid for a 4 night stay.

  • Kid free getaway to Tahoe

    I'm fairly easy going, *Due to Vrbo policy I cannot list how much they charge for cleaning fees* however when being charged a Hugh dollar amount for cleaning, I feel it should be clean! Air vents had caked in dust!, utensils and glasses were dirty. The beater (cake/potatoes) handheld had old caked on potatoes!Know how to operate a nest thermostat before going! We have two nest in our home, so we were well versed, however they can be changed by phone or other WiFi devise, and ours was changed multiple times during the stay!May be beneficial to bring a surge protector as in the master bedroom there is two plugs for the lamp/tv/chrome cast/ DVD player (which was hooked up wrong - Good thing I know about that stuff)The location was absolutely beautiful, tucked back a little but still close to EVERYTHING!

Sometimes things are missed and in this case, we think that they may have inadvertently put away utensils and dishes that were not cleaned but still in the dishwasher. We will make sure they are aware of this so that future guests do not experience this issue. 2) We have adjusted the Nest so that it is no longer on auto-schedule where it adjusts based on usage (we were unaware it was set to this and appreciate you bringing it to our attention).
