The house and location were great. We had a wonderful stay

This house was sweet as could be! everything in the pictures is accurate - My whole family was able to spread out here . My oldest in her own separate end of house with her own bathroom and my two youngest girls on that end as well. There was enough space in the kitchen for cooking family meals - and boy did we. We used the barbecue as well. The living space out back is wonderful - the yard art - way cool, however upon arrival all cushions were crammed into box and dripping wet, we would have preferred those out, ("drying" as we assume someone is there regularly to check in on things and clean,) it would have been nice if that area was swept and ready to use, we could not use those cushions until the 3rd day, so that was disappointing, The Yard is private and fenced in, but just over that fence were amazing views. All stores necessary to live well are within 10-15 minutes, there was even a local farmers market the last week of September that had fresh flowers we placed all over house! We used the fireplace - that was amazing and my family really enjoyed quality time here. Two things, - 1, if you want to lay around in the living room, watch a movie together only one person (or two kids) can comfortably do that as there is only 1 sofa and two chairs, so very hard for 5 people to lay around snugly, - IT IS HOWEVER IDEAL FOR THE SPACE, I know people don't usually go on vacation to lay around someone else's house - but for that one day you're not running around trying to see everything and you just want to rest....chill - My very tall husband always just went to the bedroom to stretch out where there of course is no tv. and we couldn't veg out together.. 2, - why - is there never a sweet little wicker laundry basket for folks who stay longer than 2 days.. (in any of the VRBO's we stay at) your laundry lays around on the floor - no-one likes that. Each bedroom should have that.... Overall - I loved this place - we always ask ourselves do we want to leave and would we recommend to our friends? We did not want to leave and yes we would recommend this house!!

Beautiful property and very clean! The owner left us a bottle of wine on our first night which was so thoughtful!
This house was perfect, even better than the description. Included everything you would need while away. Exactly like the pictures. Grocery store was very close by and 20 mins from Santa Fe plaza. We would stay here again.
I struggled with how to rate this place, and I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. When I think about individual details, I'm inclined to lean toward 3, but the overall experience was so charming that I rounded up to 4. Our overall experience was very nice; in fact, we even extended our stay a couple of days, since we were having such a nice time in Santa Fe. The house is spacious and well laid out, and the main living space has an absolutely terrific vibe. The neighborhood was also quiet and pleasant, and we really felt like we had the world to ourselves. The home also has a great laundry/utility room. We were staying for a couple of weeks and lot of gear, so it was actually amazing having all of this storage space.Where this home lost points was in the technical details. Generally the house was outfitted adequately, though we ran out of soap, toilet paper, and trash bags after a couple of days and had to go buy our own. It was reasonably clean, but a little below average based on the (many) vacation rentals we've stayed in. There was also one closet that we presume must have had a sewage leak at some point, or something like that, as it always smelled terrible. The bathrooms and kitchen were also adequate but could use some updating. Finally, we were a little disappointed in the view. The listing showed panoramic mountain views, which was something extremely important to us. We love to sit on the porch and enjoy the sunset. What the listing doesn't show is that the yard (in standard Santa Fe fashion) is fenced in. So, I guess you could have had those views if you stood up and peeked over the fence, but otherwise you mostly just saw fence. We actually took folding chairs out to the driveway a couple of times to make up for this. So, overall, we really enjoyed ourselves, and we would be fine to stay here again, but, given the choice, I would probably look for one of the many other Santa Fe rentals with the hope of getting more of the details right.
