  • Nice place

    5/5

Place was nice and clean. The floors were heated so that was cool coming out of the hot tub into the house and ur feet weren’t freezing lol. The master bedroom shower is super nice works great. Might need 4x4 to get to the house if there’s bad snow

  • Every VRBO property that we have stayed in has been awesome. So this one was a little disappointing.

    3/5

    Just kind of okay.

    3/5

I like to write honest reviews giving the pluses and minuses of a rental. I have rented a lot of houses through the years so I have an idea of good and bad. We are not extremely picky but at the price we paid for this we expected a bit more. We rented this house for 3 weeks - here are my thoughts:

    Positives:

-Beautiful setting - privacy from neighbors, trees trimmed nicely for viewing ample wildlife, lots of daylight in the house

    -large portable fans provided

-hot tub mostly works but no instructions on how to get all jets operating

-nice W/D and laundry detergent supplied

-owner/prop manager (not sure which) pretty responsive

-bathrooms good size and nice and lots of TP provided

    -plenty of bath towels

    Negatives:

-No welcome book of things to do, places to eat, instructions, etc

-kitchen very poorly stocked as far as basics - no foil, plastic wrap, etc, only one mixing bowl and few cooking utensils

-kitchen needs a thorough cleaning - cabinets, stove & oven

-sheets on beds very worn and pilled

-only one hand towel per bathroom, no spares

-face cloths very stained and look dirty despite being washed

-broken down charcoal grill, no gas grill

-only closet for hanging clothes is in the master bedroom - other rooms have either a shelves or a dresser

-although house can sleep 10, there are only 4 places to sit on the deck

-lots of firewood but smoke doesn’t go up chimney very well. We tried twice and smoke kept coming into living room (yes, the damper was open!)

Bottom line: if I stayed here again, I would bring my own face cloths, hand towels and sheets. I would also bring whatever kitchen items I needed to be able to cook.

  • Perfect!

    5/5

Great views, very nice and unique house. Easy to get to ski resort. Gas station with very nice grocery just around the corner. Kids loved the air hockey in garage as well as TV in upstairs bedroom. Owner was responsive with our questions.
