Family vacay!
5/5 Five of us spent 4 nights at this lovely home to enjoy my daughter's spring break. We went on 5 different hikes, visiting 4 waterfalls. This area has the most waterfalls of any area in NC. I have lived in NC my entire life and have never seen a mountain area have so many options for entertainment with a thriving economy. Highlands is an easy drive and they had great shopping and dining, but we didn't have to pay their pricy accommodations! Although the exterior of the log cabin has the typical rustic appeal, the interior was modern and very comfortable. The owner was very responsive and provided suggestions for restaurants and hikes. We had one minor mechanical issue and his handyman walked right over. He lives directly across the street! The kitchen was spacious and probably the most well-equipped that we've ever found in a VRBO. We had one rainy day and we all spent it in the loft enjoying the shuffleboard table and game table. In the evenings we used the new firepit and Adirondack chairs and roasted smores. The landscaping was very nicely done with lighting ideal for extending the day. There was even an extra propane tank in the event the main one goes empty. The place was not rented the day we were checking out, so the owner offered a late check-out. After this experience, I'm not likely to stay in Asheville or Boone again. I'll be back to this area and look forward to staying at this home again!

Wonderful
5/5 We had a great time! Loved the cabin..it is very comfortable, the beds were great, the kitchen was large, the outside areas were lovely and the inside bumper pool and shuffle board kept all well occupied. Some of us used the Sapphire Valley Center and enjoyed that as well. The owners were more than friendly and accommodating. GREAT!

Beautiful cabin with lots of space
5/5 Cabin had everything we needed for our family of 8. Beds were comfortable and the location was unbeatable. Host was very welcoming. We will definitely be back.
