• Family Vacation-Cabin in the Mountains=despite our troubles the trip was good!

  Roads are extremely steep & gravel driveway not good for a 12 passenger van we slide off the side of the driveway & almost went completely off but thanks to local volunteer firefighters able to pull us out & back to safety! Greeted by a drone that watched & followed us, didn’t leave for a good 10 minutes & came back the next day. Owners said it was not them & they had never seen it before. Dirt bike/motorcycle tracks were also noticed in the driveway so we felt like we were being watched & made us very uncomfortable. The game room=no lighting over the pool table/checkers table so those activities can’t be enjoyed after dark, back porch=no lighting. Pictures on the website need to be updated: couch downstairs, dinning room table & fire pit are not the same. Couch for movie night w. the kids is smaller & can’t enjoy it=it’s a 3 seater that pulled out to a bed which was uncomfortable, no support & you feel the springs. Bunk beds=kids complained how warm the room got while they slept. Light switches should be labeled to make it easier to find outside security. The TVs: downstairs & third floor had no issues, worked perfectly! The main level tv had issues w. volume & got to the point we quit even trying to get it to work. Main floor bedroom has no tv. The kitchen: what made this trip as bad as it was. Light over the stove didn’t work. First night=greeted by at least 30-50 roaches & had to call the owner for pest service, came out twice after treating them ourselves. Food was thrown out & couldn’t use kitchen like you normally would. No cleaning supplies for cleaning up the kitchen/spills. Found mold in the Keurig & decided not to use it. Windows: all dirty & no coverings, should have covering & let renter make the choice to open/close them. Trash: no trash service so a large group 2 trash cans fill up fast & you have to take anything that doesn’t fit to the local recycling center! The best parts: Views are amazing & the country-side beautiful. Pictures don’t do them justice. More seating/table outside we would’ve eaten & spent more time outside. Great memories around the fire pit multiple times, needs more seats. The air is cool in the evenings. Rocking chairs=spent most of our time outside enjoying the views taking in the beauty of the surroundings with our loved ones. Experienced wildlife all around us & breathtaking stars. Adventures & activities during the day=amazing. Overall=really good trip & can’t thank home owners enough for the experiences!!

  Hi Kalee, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your overall stay despite some of the issues you encountered. We have to agree that the views from the property are beautiful and breathtaking.
  - The road to get to our property is a paved roadway maintained by the city and uncertain how you ended up in the location where you had to have the fire department assist you from the gravel off the road, however, we are glad that you are safe and well.
  - When you reached out the morning after you checked in I promptly responded and called pest control, who came out within 24 hours, treatment was done but found nothing. You reached out again with the same issue, pest control arrived within 24 hours and did another treatment, and baited. They informed us they believed the roaches had been brought in by a previous guest. We are truly sorry that this happened during your stay, we hope the measures taken by us make up for the inconvenience
  - Someone using a drone in the area is completely out of our control and we did not know of it until now. The track marks in the driveway, we can only assume were someone taking a wrong turn.
  - There is one light on the back porch, and we feel the lighting in the game room is sufficient, where the main big light is not directly over the pool table it does provide enough light.
  - The dining table has been replaced as a guest broke the previous one, and guest feedback prompted us to replace the couch with a new one. The firepit should not be any different from what we advertise. We will be providing new photos to ensure that our listing is accurately reflecting the property.
  - We have an AC on the property that is sufficient to cool the entire home to a comfortable temperature, but we will have this checked.
  - The TV on the main level has since been replaced, and we do not advertise a TV for the bedroom on the main level.
  - We recently replaced the light above the stove but will have our cleaning services check on this and replace it if needed. Basic cleaning supplies are located in the kitchen under the sink.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

• Beautiful property with a million dollar view

  The property was beautiful ❤️ we mainly rented it because the deck view of the mountains. Check-in was a breeze but they should put in there listing it's a very small very steep driveway and they only recommend 2 cars. Also it was weird to have cameras on the property. I have rented many cabins and this is the first one that had cameras. I didn't mind the cameras they where outside. But the cabin doesn't have curtians and the cameras shine right in the downstairs door where the couch sits and the kitchen door so don't walk around half dressed.We weren't notified of cameras either which is in vbros policy that it must be disclosed.I gave 3 stars for cleaniness because ceiling fans are very dirty above microwave is covered in grease upstairs bathroom light is filthy and there was a mystery spot of something on the carpet by the dart boardOtherwise I loved the cabin and if curtains where added to bathrooms n lower bedrooms I would stay again

  The cabin is basic but very nice and well built. We had a few issues during our stay but the owner was very responsive and stated the issues would be addressed. Not really close to anything but a good place if you just want to hang out and relax.

• Second Honeymoon

  House was awesome! The view spectacular. Only negative is ceiling fans need to be dusted. If we're in Murphy again, we'll definitely stay here.
