Quiet weekend getaway

Nice property
3/5 Overall the property was nice and in a mostly quite cove. You could tell some areas of the house had been updated while some places like the bathrooms were a little outdated. The dock area was nice with access to the lake. Be aware the kitchen has no vents for cooking, so we got a visit from the fire department when we attempted to cook some bacon. Also even though the property mentions that there are plenty of steps, be aware that there are no handrails either entering the front or exiting in the back. Anyone who has the slightest problems with steps will find it challenging to stay here.

As for the venting in the kitchen, I would have suggested opening the door if it was getting too smokey inside.”
Scenic and spacious hideaway overlooking the lake - great property owner
5/5 Can't say enough good things about the property and the owner. I booked this property for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. From the outset, the owner went out of his way to ensure my parents stay was special. Being several hundreds of miles away, I appreciated his unprompted willingness to go above and beyond.The property was very clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable (my parents are picky sleepers). The property has been updated and the appliances are all top notch. Incredible large screened porch on the back overlooking the lake (which is a stones throw away). My parents spent a lot of time on that porch as well as enjoying the shaded sitting area in the backyard under the trees overlooking the lake. The dock has recently been updated as well.Property was quiet and very scenic. Great sunsets and sunrises. Located close to several mid to higher caliber restaurants. Property owner was extremely accessible and helpful when asking for recommendations and tips. Of all the properties I've ever rented on VRBO, this was by far my best experience with an owner. That special touch goes a long way in making any stay more enjoyable. Would definitely book property again.
