  Lots of room. My kids love the pool. Owners are accessible and accommodating. We saw a box turtle in the front landscaping and a green anole lizard watched us in the hot tub as it basked in the sun. I don't know what type of fish we saw swimming in the lake by the dock, but they were there. We love animals, so it was nice to see a healthy ecosystem for wildlife.

  The master bathroom shower was a bit confusing to operate for someone like me who isn't used to fancy knobs and temperature controls. Some in our party loved the suspension bed. Those of us who get motion sick avoided it. This is our second time here and we would definitely book again.

  Pool wasn’t working first two days, dirty and messy

  Owners response: "Anonymous, First I'd like to say that I am sorry that this happened, but I want you to know that this was a very unusual situation. The guests before you had children who were unfortunately mischievous and not watched closely so ran amuck. They damaged property and when they found the pool switches interesting they pushed buttons and changed switches from one direction to another and then back again so that it was all a mess when I looked at it. I didn't notice the pool was not working immediately but when I did I tried my best to get everything up and running for you but I was unsuccessful so I called the pool guy. They were there within 24 hours and he knew exactly what to do and fixed it immediately. The hot tub needed to be refilled and the pool switches reset so that the filter was doing its job to get everything cleaned up.
  I gave you an option to take you and your guests out for refreshments as a way to make it right which you first accepted and then declined. I wish you would have let me at least try because I did feel bad about this.
  I am a very hands-on owner who takes pride in offering our guests a nice place to relax and enjoy the location and all the amenities that we give so they can have a 5-star experience. I have had many guests who have been able to experience this. I'm sorry that things worked out the way they did, but we do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests."

• Great location and ample space

  This is an amazing property. I love staying here and it is my go to for the Lake Norman area. The owners are very responsive to any issues. There is ample room for a group to stay comfortably and the pool area is perfect for relaxing.

  Great house at the end of the street, very quiet, clean property, easy access to the main road. We would stay there again.
