The pictures are accurate... when you get to the top of this hill, the views are immaculate and the cabin is absolutely adorable. We have a V6 VW Atlas and were unable to climb the hill. The hill is steep but that wasn't the biggest problem, it was the looseness of the gravel - likely exacerbated by a stretch of dry weather. We couldn't get hold and so had to park about 1/4 mile down the hill and hike up every time we got back. It was tough, especially with a baby, and a bit scary in the dark, but otherwise fine. I wouldn't attempt this again without a Pickup truck / Jeep Wrangler type of vehicle. It was additionally stressful that when we called our POC at 4 PM (checkin time) with our issue, we didn't hear back until the following morning. After that, communication was excellent. If you can get past that, the place is super cool and you should check it out. Really close to Asheville, Biltmore, etc... feels "off the grid" ... and still has modern home amenities.

From the owners: “We’re so happy you and your family found the cabin enjoyable, but incredibly sorry to hear that you were not able to make it up the hill. Over the year, the gravel has loosened up with dry weather and various vehicles spinning their tires on it. However, the road especially took a hit when Hurricane Fred came through not long ago. With that said, since your stay we were able to conduct some maintenance on the driveway compacting the gravel and smoothening the roadway. We also use Evolve as a property management company and sorry to hear your POC was delayed in getting a response to you. We will address that immediately with Evolve to ensure that doesn’t happen again. We hope you’ll come back soon and see some of our recent improvements, including a hot tub!”
The cabin was very nice and clearly recently built and furnished. The view is absolutely stunning, and provided some spectacular sunrise views. Really a hidden gem in the hills.
My reasons for no 5-stars are that I believe they should really have some slightly nicer outdoor furniture to enjoy the patio and the view. Secondly, though it says "steep gravel driveway", it didn't really prepare me for how treacherous it was. I am a confident driver and love some excitement, but that last bit of the climb to the house was a bit of an adrenaline rush each time. I made it every time, but did come close to getting stuck once. I do not have 4-wheel drive but the driveway was dry and clear.
