• Nice house but poor communication with property manager

  The house was nice, clean, and decorated really cute. The second to bottom step on the front porch is in very bad condition, all the nails have come loose and stepping on it is a safety hazard. I was traveling with my 70 year old mother and this was a great concern. The first morning we woke up freezing, the thermostat was reading 62 degrees, the heat was turned off and was locked with a passcode. I contacted the property manager Brandie who assured me she would contact the owner to get the passcode. I never heard from her again. We stayed 3 more nights and luckily the weather warmed up but now the house was heating up and again we could not set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature. The ceiling fans saved us for sure. Unless you like unpredictable inside temperatures and hazardous front steps, steer clear of this property!

  - Thank you for the compliments on the house! We're sorry about the bottom step on the porch but are glad that we were able to have it repaired during your stay, as requested.
  - As for the issues with the thermostat, we hadn't previously experienced this so we sent an HVAC expert to fix it after your checkout. They shared that the system locked and cut off due to improper use and so it couldn't be corrected with a code like we originally thought; however, we're sorry for the communication issues about this in the midst of our uncertainty.
  While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to report that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend. Thanks for your review!

  We do wish the property had rugs or curtains to absorb some of the sound. The living room area is very loud.

• Home bear Asheville

  When arrived nice location nice house but only one towel for each person when we tried to wash them found the washer pouring water into floor found extra towels in dryer wet and soured called host on Sunday said she would try and get plumber but would probably be Monday or Tuesday I have never heard back from her and she will not return my calls also on Sunday night the kitchen floor flooded due to busted filter in refrigerator so all in all nice place but NO host help.

• Great Place

  Stayed for a quick weekend getaway with three other friends. The neighborhood was quiet and the place was great. I rated cleanliness a four because there were dirty dishes in the dish washer, which wasn't a huge deal, we just washed them with our dirty dishes. Other than that, the home was neat and clean and the beds were super comfortable. The location was pretty good, as it only took us 15-20 min to get to downtown Asheville and surrounding attractions. My one recommendation is to bring more pots/pans if you plan to cook. Unfortunately, they only had one pan, and one small pot, but we made do. Overall, great place to stay and well equipped otherwise. Thanks!!!

• Good vacation base

  The property was new, comfortable, and in a mixed area and very convenient to Asheville, Waynesville, etc. The beds and pillows were great and it was appointed with Keurig and other necessities for a comfortable home base.
