This is our second time staying at Toni’s treehouse. We were lucky enough to stay longer this time and we can’t wait to go back. The house is perfect for a family, and we love the fire pit and hot tub. The location is perfect for fir exploring Bryson City, Cherokee, and our favorite place…Nantahala river!! Thank you again for being such great hosts

Toni’s Treehouse is a beautiful cabin. We arrived the day after Christmas to a warm, inviting scene from a Hallmark movie - the tree was lit and the fire was glowing. It was wonderful! We loved having the hot tub to relax in and the fooseball table for family fun! This cabin is located close to highway access so you can get to neighboring areas fairly quickly. Maggie Valley for skiing was just a 45 minute drive. Hiking in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park was only a 10 minute drive.
Of note is that the cookware (particularly the skillets) are in terrible shape. It didn’t matter how much butter or oil or anything we used, everything stuck to the pans! We lost a good bit of food because of that. We choose to stay in houses because we like to cook rather than eat out and the pans were disappointing.
We also had difficulty regulating the temperature. The upstairs loft was like a sauna, even though we turned the heat off. The downstairs bedroom area was freezing. With the heat turned on down there, it took 4 days for the temp to go from 52° to 64°.
Overall, we would still stay here again if we knew the cookware had been updated - that really was a sticking point for us.
Owner's response: "Thank you for submitting your review. I am very happy you enjoyed the area and the cabin.
Regarding the set of pots and pans, many are brand new, and probably the guest before you just didn't clean them very well. I have run into the same issue when I come to stay at the treehouse and I am quite disappointed many times by the way guests treat the property.
I stock the cabin with all sorts of scrubbies and dish cleaners but that doesn't seem to work out for us either. My cleaner simply cannot rewash all the cookware between guests and that is why I make it a point to mention courtesy in the check-in details I send to each guest.
Also regarding the heat/AC......this property is a LOG CABIN....and is equipped with 2 separate mini-split systems that can handle the cooling and heating with no real issues...again I send an info sheet on the controls. I truly wish you had called me because I could have either walked you thru the handheld remote or had my service people run out there to assist. It took me a while to understand the graphics of the system, so I completely understand how it could have just been simply misread.
The loft gains the heat from downstairs and that is simply the physics of a log cabin....part of the charm for some.
Overall, I really appreciate your comments and it seems you had a nice time.....
All the best,
Toni"
We had an amazing time staying at Toni’s treehouse! We rode the Polar Express on Friday night and then enjoyed walking around Bryson City and dining there the next day. We also checked out the aquarium and the train museum which were really cool. The property had everything that we could possibly need, was extremely clean and well taken care of, and we absolutely loved the hot tub in the fire pit!

From the owner: "Thank you for your wonderful review. Bryson is truly a special place."
My 20 year old son who is in the Navy was on leave and staying here made this weekend so memorable. The cabin was perfect! We loved the porches, living room, the sauna, and the fire pit. We were able to explore Bryson. The road nowhere, deep creek hiking, and the best part…river rafting on Nantahala. We are already planning our next trip!!
