The other reviews are not exaggerating about the cleanliness/age of the furniture and appliances, the wifi is not great and I had no cell service. It feels more tucked away in the woods than the photos make it seem, and you must drive on long windy roads to go anywhere. BUT THAT WATERFALL. I have been coming to the Smokies since childhood and having your own creek and waterfall to enjoy was absolutely priceless. Once we went wading in the creek all the negative feelings I felt about the cabin washed away because I remembered why I was there. Not for a boujee getaway but to have fun with my family making memories! I miss it already and cannot wait to return. It was a little nerve-wracking chasing a two-year old around stairs and embankments but families with kids who are a little older could spend hours playing in the creek. They provided some DVDs but I would definitely recommend bringing some or backup entertainment (books, what are those?) for when it rains TV and wifi go away.
The waterfall was very nice, that's about all! None of the floors were level so you felt off balance all the time. The beds were uncomfortable, the furniture is wore out,, when you walk around upstairs the light fixtures down stairs bounce ,this could be a nice place but it needs ALOT of TLC. The pictorisque view is the waterfall, because everything else is dirt embankment and fallen trees. It was definitely an experience!

Dog chases cars at the end of the street and for several hours the creek and waterfall smelled like fertilizer or fishy maybe from nearby farming or something

Great little place for relaxing by the waterfall. Creek runs right behind the cabin so you can hear it through out the whole cabin. Only draw back would be the furniture. Beds and livingroom furniture could be updated for those of us who want to just stay in.

The location of this home made for a nice quiet getaway from reality for a few days. We really enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waterfall every morning. If it had been a little warmer we would have loved to sit on the deck & have breakfast with a view. It was the perfect space for our lowkey vacation.
