The on-line photos don’t show the issues. 1. Master bedroom closet locked for owners 2. Master bedroom bed sags in middle3. Master bedroom has power cable running across door entrance. Safety hazard 4. Only four bath towels5. No large frying pad6. No map provided to help locate unit. It was raining when we arrived7. A long haul from parking to room8. General condition of Pinnacle Inn run down9. They encourage recycling but the bids are over flowingWe made it work but won’t recommend or be back.

The unit was in very good condition. The kitchen was dated but had all the amenities you need. Having no air conditioning was a bit of a surprise, I obviously did not read through the listing deep enough to see it had to be listed. The location is a third floor with long walkways and a lot of steps. If you have a lot of things to bring in or are not able to do steps well then you need to find another location. Overall the stay was worth it for out needs and the home was beautiful with a huge TV and good wifi. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here. The view of the mountains off the deck was beautiful! The condo was quiet and cozy. We loved the fireplace and making fires each day. The house was very well stocked too, which was nice! There was soap and shampoo, some spices, plastic wrap and zip baggies. It was nice to not have to bring those items or buy them when we got there. Our first full day it rained most of the day, and we wanted to hit the pool but it was closed for cleaning. That was a bit of a bummer. But we were able to enjoy the pool another day. It was a quick drive into Banner Elk and downtown Beech Mountain. We did have an issue where we got locked out of the condo. The deadbolt was controlled by a keypad, but the lock on the doorknob was separate and needed a key, which we didn’t have. It’s one of those locks that can be opened from the inside when it’s locked. So when we went out and shut the door we didn’t know we’d be locked out. The local contact Ricky found someone to come unlock it for us so we could get back inside but it took about 2 hours of our afternoon to get back inside. It might be helpful to put a note on the door about being sure to not lock the doorknob. The weather was pretty warm the when we went, so we didn’t have any fresh snow but Sugar Mountain still had tubing and ice skating available. Beech Mountain sadly did not. Many restaurants were also closed in the early part of the week. We were there Wednesday-Saturday, and many places were closed that first night and Thursday. That may be something to take into account when traveling mid-week. By Thursday night and Friday, more places were open for dinner. All in all, we had a great trip! We’d definitely come back, maybe for longer and earlier in the season when the chance to get some real snow is higher!

The condo was small but well-equipped. The pool room was dated but we enjoyed the sauna. I am assuming that this is a new owner which is why the check-in process was problematic (they recently installed new locks which the front desk didn't have access to). I'm sure this issue will be resolved for future visitors, in which case, I would have no complaints about the property.
