Great location! Our family took a quick ski trip before Christmas, and this cabin was conveniently located a few minutes from the entrance to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed including dog toys for our Golden Retriever that came along. It had plenty of space for everyone to relax after skiing all day.

the house was a good size and good location, but needs a little upkeep. beds were rock hard. linens were threadbare. was nice to have some games and the layout and decor were good. just a few small improvements - new mattresses and towels, would make it excellent.

Homeowner's Response: "We are so glad you stayed at our place. We hope you had a great visit. It is always great when guests give us feedback."
This is a great location for a family get-together, with a great central living space and ample room for guests. I also loved that is so dog friendly with a fenced-in yard to let the dogs out without having to take them out on a leash in the snow and ice! I also really appreciated the owner calling me after I had left to tell me she had found a baby bag containing pumps and bottles that we forgot and offering to send it to us free of charge! c
Very nice place with great views and easy access to Beech Mountain and Banner Elk. Extremely nice homeowners and a smooth check in/check out. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at this great little townhouse for Friday through Sunday. The house had everything you'd need and plenty of space for everyone. The back porch had the most amazing views as did the upstairs loft. The owner was so wonderful to answer my questions when I had emailed prior since we arrived on Friday and caught the remnants of hurricane Nicole that dumped a TON of rain on the area. The hiking was a bit rough if it's been raining, so we couldn't do too many trails, BUT the house is so close to all of the trails! You can get a map of the trails at Fred's Mercantile. There's a great little coffee shop - Poppy's - right down the street from the house. Banner Elk is also very close and a great place to visit for lunch. We also woke up to the first snow of the season on Sunday morning (small panic moment) and the homeowner was so good in replying to my email immediately. She gave me info on what to expect, who I could call for road reports, etc. Turned out great... we were supposed to bring our dog with us and ended up not bringing her, but there is a nice fenced in front yard. There's also a shared fire pit (we didn't get to try out due to lots of rain). The stairs to go down to the lower level are a bit steep and lower ceiling heights on the stairwell - I'm short so I was fine, but would be hard for older people or very tall people like my husband. :-) Overall, it was a great place to stay and we loved our trip, rain and snow and all! Highly recommend!
