Clean mountain escape
4/5 The house was immaculate and seemed well equipped with all of the essentials. The house is very open and bright with a nice layout to view the mountains with all of the amazing fall colors. It also has a nice open floor plan from kitchen to living/dining rooms — perfect to spend quality time with the family. I would give the house 5+ plus stars except one thing that I wasn’t prepared for…. A single lane mountain road with partial gravel, pot holes, and sharp curves. I’m from the west coast and never been to this area so I wasn’t prepared for this kind of mountain driving with my family in tow. Luckily I arrived during daylight and was able to navigate to the house (maps on iPhone led me straight to the house without any problems) but I was very nervous because I had no idea we would be far off the main roads. We passed a bear meandering by which reminded me I didn’t want to navigate the road at night and to drive slow. Wi-Fi worked well and the fireplace was a plus! Again, I loved this house for its cleanliness, views, floor plan and all the amenities. however, driving the windy mountain road in the dark and fog was a bit much for me since we were making several trips to/from the house for sightseeing and adventures. Would love to spend more time here if I had loaded up on groceries and knew we were going to stay put to relax for a couple of days.

5/5 This property is was perfect! The house was gorgeous, the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and the property manager was so attentive and responsive to my questions! The location is so convenient to some beautiful hikes and fun activities in Asheville! I would definitely stay here again!
