Our main issue was the complex heating unit. There was no communication on how the heating system worked. Upon first glance it looked like your average heating system with a Honeywell Thermostat… wrong, it was a boiler system set up. The thermostat was locked upon arrival and we could not adjust the heating, cooling or fan to a temperature of our liking. The guest book mentioned “ We ask the guests kindly keep the temperature between 67 and 74 degrees. Please see the reference manual on how to change the temperature to accommodate your own preference. ” there was no “reference manual”.. so one quick google search said to unlock the panel. We tried the obvious default code.. worked like a charm. We could then adjust the temperature to what felt best for us. There was no heat for about 72 hours, our contact Kasey was nice about getting someone out by Tuesday to see what was going on. Still no one mentioned that it was a boiler system and the heat would not come through the vents until a few hours later when the HVAC guy came and explained the system and stated that by unlocking the panel we caused 1/2 the building to lose heating. We was then educated on where the heat would come from but they locked the panel back. Again… you can’t change the temperature without unlocking the panel. By the end of the week it got so hot we had to unlock it to run AC.. no AC blowing through the vents. We had to use the tower fan. Evolve was nice to work with us. We will not stay here again!

Homeowner's Response: "Hi Miranda, thank you so much for the feedback. We will be updating our Welcome Book to better explain the Heating/Cooling system. Please understand that the thermostats are locked for a specific reason – to prevent any accidental system disruptions that could result in costly repairs and inconvenience for multiple units. We did our best to keep you updated on the situation as soon as we were made aware of it. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention."
We had a great stay at this little apartment! Close to coffee shops, murals, shopping, and right above the Might Mo.
It was a little loud from the bar below but we were warned and they provided earplugs if needed.
Everything was very clean and comfortable. I’ve recommended it to my sister who is planning a trip very soon!
Cool old building, great that it's right downtown and above Mighty Mos for a quick bite to eat and good beer. Parking takes some getting used to (for us country dwellers, hah). Free parking after 5pm weekdays and weekends. Download the app for easy weekday parking fees. Parking garage is also right around the corner if street parking isn't available. Can be a bit noisy as it is right above Central Ave but there are ear plugs and a fan (thank you for that!) So really not bad at all. No dishwasher available, fyi. Also, hot water isn't great but still serviceable. Perfect for the two of us just needing a nice little place to stay! Second time staying in this building and this one has a window looking out on the street so that's nice!

This is great lovely apartment and location. For future guests - the washer and dryer is one unit. When you want to dry - click the dry button after the washing cycle.
There were easy directions and entry into the apartment. Everything was provided as explained.Points of improvement would be:A place to store our clothes and toiletries was quite challenging. The table in the bedroom would have been much better if it had been a dresser drawer. The washer dryer worked well, but there were no directions in how to use it. We did figure it out, but it took some time. It did a nice job.
