The property was perfect for our family gathering and prepping for a destination wedding. The owner was accommodating with a special request, which was much appreciated and responsive to questions. The house is on a quiet street and the star gazing from the back deck was amazing! Great location for a multi family get together.

Rented this house to accommodate my family for my son's wedding in Kalispell. I needed beds and showers and based on the photos I understood that this wasn't a 5 star property... but It fit the bill for ample bedrooms and adequate bathrooms for 7 of us to get ready. I've graded our stay "ok", because the following things were really sub par: first, communication with property manager was slow/ non existent. I had requested additional days be added to my stay but it took days to get a response back, then when I requested a later checkout than 10am. I received no response at all. The neighborhood was nice and very close to the historic town of Bigfork, but the neighbor next door's place was undergoing reconstruction and it looked bad and we heard hammering etc. Luckily, we were gone from the house most of the time, so it didn't impact us terribly. All the sink drains in the house were clogged and didn't drain properly. There was even a post it note warning us not to shave in the sinks...which we didn't- but it was rather disgusting when you couldn't wash your face or brush your teeth because the sinks were so slow to drain. Obviously, they knew it was an issue before our stay and it's something that needs to be addressed before people stay there again. We emptied the trash, stripped the beds, started the dishwasher, but we were only able to start the towels in the laundry and not dry them per the instructions...which, frankly, is a ridiculous request when you have a 10 am check out AND you've paid a cleaning fee. I assume others haven't dried the towels before they left, because many of the towels had that rank smell of towels that sat way too long before being dried. So, like a motel 6- it was ok.

Hi Cindy, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We were surprised to hear your feedback and would like to clarify we were unaware that you had inquired about extending your stay. To extend a stay, this would have to go through the platform on which you booked your reservation not to me directly. We did not receive a call or text regarding an early check-in or late check-out. The house manager and my phone number are posted on the fridge and in the journal on the table both welcoming guests and asking them to enjoy their stay, we provide both numbers so that guests can easily feel free to reach out to us at any time with any concerns and we will gladly help and respond promptly.
- The first of your stay, the first guest to arrive did not have the code with them and with my RING camera I happened to notice they were standing waiting, I was able to immediately use the speaker to give them the code so they could enter rather than have to wait.
- The house manager takes great pride in her cleaning abilities, and does everything to ensure the towels and sheets have a fresh airy smell and we have not had any complaints in the past. The previous guest had shaved even though it is noted not to in the sink as they will clog, she used draino to clear the drain and it seemed to have resolved the issue. The master sink has a screen rather than a stopper to catch anything from going down and clogging it which is cleaned in between each guest's stay.
- We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the neighbor’s "reconstructing" their home is simply out of our control.
- We do appreciate the feedback and do everything we can to turn a negative into a positive The Serenity house continues to be a very popular comfortable home away from home for family and friends to gather and strive to please.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
House is dated but served our purpose well for a large 3 generation group. Large great room and basement . Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Quiet but walkable to town, a perfect scenario for us .
owner was hard to get a hold of and not very responsive but we got thru it.

Our son, Sean Landis, and three of his adult children and spouses stayed at the home for a bit of over a week. The house is very comfortable, spacious, and clean. our host, Leslie, Was always available by phone to clear up any questions or clarify any procedures. She was delightful.
The home is a healthy walk for a person to get to downtown Bigfork. For me it was a 15 minute drive to my accommodations in downtown Bigfork.
We are hoping to return to the same house next year, about the same time.
